You are all busy as usual!

Vanilla - I hope DD feels better soon.

I have been enjoying the sunshine and doing little spurts in the house. I have wiped all the surfaces in the bedrooms and living room, and vacuumed and mopped the ground floor. A load of laundry has also been washed and is drying outside.

I have also caught up with my aunt and my fiends, and been for a routine check at the dentist. Dinner is cooking and once that is done I am relaxing all evening.

Totally understand.

fleur:
You are such a busy gal, between work, etc. Don't know how you do it all.

Vanilla:
So sorry about DD having the chickenpox. Hope she isn't too uncomfortable.

Was happy with my productivity today. Before class I thought I would try and do my errands and believe it or not I was able to get it done in time to leave when I would have otherwise! YEA!

Came home, broked down some boxes for recycling, finished the beading project!!!! Happy dancing on that one, anxious to move on to another one now. Hoping to embroider tonight.

Vanilla, I hope your DD feels better soon.

Today I found a new book case of sorts - a vegetable rack. Its one of those self essembly plastic ones that you can make as high as you wish. I put two lots together to make about 6 baskets and packed them with books by subject.

You wouldnt believe how much I could fit in the rack, so Iv ordered another two and hopefully the remainder of the book pile can go in there.

This means everything is off the floor and I can at last get into the wardrobe. I really need a new bookcase but it would have to be free standing (room devider sort) and I cant afford one of those. One of the guys at college is a Master carpenter so Im going to ask what sort he recommends etc.

Im also very glad the books are organised by subject. Theres nothing like trying to find a book when they are all muddled up.

I just need to find a home for my emergency kit - Iv got a large ruck sack packed just incase we get evacuated due to flooding. Once thats done, most of the room is done except for the wall shelves and top of the wardrobe. No doubt by then I will need to do the wardrobe again. LOL! It never stops.

PS: Just thinking about the veg/book rack. I could get several with wheels on and then shove them sideways like you do rolling filing cabinets - you know like the ones they have archives in. Oh Im thinking outside the box today!

Sounds like a great solution Purdy! Love re-purposing things.

I had a get-nothing-done day yesterday except for a few phone calls. Went to check mom's house and the storm door had blown open and broke, and smashed the outdoor light. We had terrible strong winds here the day before. Blew the window boxes (full of dirt) right off my deck!

Have a late appointment this afternoon, I've got to get something done around here today!

Fleur:
When I was working and had a family, my house was always a mess, and work in progress. I don't have anyone but myself to mess up my house, and I can do a pretty good job sometimes. LOL
Don't underestimate all you do. I love that you get out with the baby and do things for yourself, it is a wonderful thing to do, and he will remember that not the clean house! You working moms are fantastic. When I look back at all I did, I am amazed, and you will one day see that yourselves.

Purdy:
Great ideas! Speaking of books have to finish packing up the books I want to sell at 1/2 price books.

Waterlady:
That had to be some wind to toss the window boxes full of dirt off the deck. Sorry about the storm door and light breaking at your mom's house. Insurance should cover that, don't you think?

~~~~~~~~~~~
Today is a at home/runaround day. Hopefully more at home than run around.
Lots and lots getting done everyone!
Vanilla, hope your dd gets better quickly....chicken pox is no fun at all! Poor thing.
Fleur, glad to see you got your time off and got a good price on your airline tickets....
Purdy, you did great getting your books organized. Very creative way of doing that!
Waterlady, that was some wind! Sounds like it was pretty bad to have blown window boxes full of dirt off the deck!
Karen, I like your plan to relax! Hope you were able to.
Diana, you are a regular Tasmanian devil with the productivity! Good job on the errand before class....love when that works out!
Have been working at organizing and cleaning my office/sewing room...getting closer to finished! Also working on dailies and cleaning...dgd did the dusting and vacuuming upstairs yesterday...she's such a big help and so very cheerful about it too! She makes her Nana very proud!
Have a wonderful day all.
Good going Bonnie! You talk about being busy!!!!!
~~~~~~~
Got errands done in the AM, went thru some items for the garage sale, and did the last of the branch work!

Clipped Gypsy (what a mess she was!), took items to GW, and now am relaxing. Taking a day off of crafting.

before bed i read my 75 email for wed, then i read the feb cosmo for an hr and went to bed. oh, i also listened to both sides of a motivational tape and a show on here.

i got up at 4pm. i went to petsmart for dry food for metro, then came home and scrubbed my tub really well. next i did the dailies and ate some more chicken bbq and slaw, then took a bath and mowed the forest. i got on here about 9pm and read all of my 'just in's'.

it was a good day!
