Diana, ha yes, the letting go of this and that. Basically it's only just stuff; but letting go of the hopes and dreams behind the stuff is making it so hard. Although now living in somewhat 'restricted' space, I did good in parting with 50% of my things, be it crafts, books, clothes or kitchen items... I'm at a point I know how to organize, need to learn how to focus on the future and not the past. Being stubborn is no help I do not want to admit defeat!

After the shopping yesterday I cooked up a storm in the kitchen. Work days next week, so all my supper time meals are ready! Then I knitted half of a scarf while watching a movie, will try and finish it today, I'll be meeting with its owner tomorrow wink

This evening going to DM's for my belated bday celebration, my kids will be there also. I want to bring my Christmas present and try it out; it's a ceramic pot to warm brie cheese in the oven. I want to look on the net for recipes, used to eat it wrapped up in dough with walnuts and maple syrup on top but would like to try something new.

Keeping strong with laundry, did the bed linens after waking up now ready for the sofa cover then curtains. Also need to sweep/mop floors. Bathroom could use a once over too.

Sorry Purdy! Good for you to stand up to her!

DGF came over yesterday and I did some typing for her. Had a paper jam in the printer, uggh, but I was able to fix it. Sounded like it bit the dust!

Made an awesome new appetizer recipe for me and Laura, it made so much we brought the rest across the street for my neighbor and her new BF. They live on the lakefront, so we sat outside, had a few drinks and hung out for a while till I got too cold and went home. Their neighbors were having a bonfire, looked like fun.

I did manage earlier in the day to vacuum downstairs and the couches, put the cleaned covers back on. Walked Finn again, and to my surprise he is getting used to just going back and forth, and is "heeling" like the prized dog he should be! ROFL! No limping yet.

Thanks everyone!

Waterlady - Sorry to hear about the disaster of a job I am sure Laura managed to cheer you up. Sounds like you had another great time with her today.

Fleur - hope you feel better soon

Mary - Great news about nearly completing the afghan.

Purdy - (((HUGS))) about the tutor I hope the situation is resolved quickly.

Bubblegum - You have done so much already. Maybe the things you are struggling with now will be easier to decide on next time you do organizing in that area.

Very relaxing weekend for me. Laundry is all done apart from the whites and apart from that and visiting the in-laws for lunch yesterday I have done nothing smile

Back to school tomorrow, so I am off to bed I will need as much energy as possible to deal with thirty seven year olds lol.

Today we have been quarrantined in the house because of the high pollen count. It looks nice outside! Took a walk yesterday and by the time I got to the end of the street, could hardly breathe. Hate to stay inside, but asking for trouble if not frown

Still can't figure out a kitchen paint color...DH brought home more paint samples, but nothing looks perfect. For the time being, it is just primed and painting stuff everywhere in the kitchen. Managed to fold 2 loads of laundry and wash 3 more. Washed dirty dishes too. Have been playing toys and Wii with DS and having fun.

Bubblegum:
I missed your post! I think you have done a great job with your moving to a smaller place, along with accommodating your children and their visits! Don't be so hard on yourself.
It takes time to get use to such a large change in one's life, and I agree, look forward not backwards. You tried, and from what I remember, worked very hard to help out your x in his working plans...you cannot be the only one at blame....it takes two. ((((HUGS)))) to you.

That receipe with the brie sounded great! Hope you enjoyed your time with everyone and the brie was great.

Fleur:
Sorry about the allergies, but better to be inside. Sounded like you and DS had fun. What color are you thinking of in the kitchen? What type of look or style? Hope you find the perfect color.

Waterlady:
Just love how you and Laura get together and share food. Wished I lived around both of you! LOL

Purdy:
Hope you feel better fast.

Karen:
Welcome back!

Nary:
Wished I could sit and read that long as you do. You are amazing. How do you retain all of it?
