That is wonderful about the police checking out the house, and it being in GONer shape! WHOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO. That is wonderful that the mailman reported it being open.

Glad DGS is out of the hospital. Enjoy your spring break!

I cannot imagine not being able to do the mundane things , you have a right to feel frustrated! You are such a go getter it has to be doubly hard for you....but this too shall pass. (((((HUGS)))))).

Giving up the ROTM until DD2 leaves why bother....too busy preparing for their arrival tomorrow.

Dianaro, enjoy the time with DD2. The organizing can wait as the stuff is always there.

Had the interview and the job is mine. Have to take a class, take a test, get licensed, etc....but once its all done she feels that I can make as much in my first year as I did when I was in management. The negative is about 2 months with no paycheck. SO just keeps saying I should go for it and he will cover all bills til I am up and running.....still that scares me. But I have decided to start taking the class as it is timed online and I can do a couple hours each morning before work. I am thinking that if I can get back to my morning shift(which is about 4 weeks away), then I can stay with this job until that one starts to pay off, maybe even be able to become parttime on this job just to maintain insurance benefits

Not doing any rotm other than maintenance right now

thanks Bless. I did meet with her and she is going to work with me to get me up and running as fast as I take the class and get licensed. As computer access is important, I may be looking at a new laptop as well. Found one that is an i3 processor for $400 with a 17.3 inch screen, which is the size these old eyes need! Anyone have any input with regard to the processor?? would really appreciate it.

That is wonderful news on the new job. Wishing you luck in your new journey and hoping you enjoy it so much more than this last one. How is your hand doing?

Nothing to report just visiting with the family.

Dianaro...cast comes off on Wed then i start physical therapy. Can't wait to get it off...never knew how limiting it would be in all areas of my life.

Did you have a nice visit with the family.

Even though I am just in maintenance mode in the rotm....SO and his son pulled out the chain saw over the weekend and made sure it worked. Have a cherry tree(that died end of last year) and an apple tree(lousy apples and just a cleanup mess) in the back of my yard so they will be cutting them down. He taught his son how to use it and supervised while he practiced on a few large branches....and his son had a blast with it! They are planning a major cutting session next weekend, weather permitting, and then will talk with a good friend of mine who own 100 acres farm north of here about hunting wild pig then bringing it back here to smoke with the apple and cherry wood( my neighbor will provide the smoker)

I'll believe the hunting trip when I see it, but know they will be doing the trees as we are talking about doing some gardening in that aprt of the yard this year.

We had a wonderful time together. They helped me with a few projects, cleaning up the garage and putting in the solar lights in the front.

All got together for Friday night dinner and it was so nice to be together. We did miss DD1, also another grandson couldn't come.

Was able to take DD2 out for her birthday which is on Sunday, so that was special also. She treated me to dinner....thanks for asking.

Sounds like SO and his son are having a great time. I would be nervous about the son handling a saw, but that is just me, worry wart!

Hoping to have a couple of days to get downstairs and work on the ROTY, or decade! Honestly it is 90% better than a few years ago. More books to go thru to take to 1/2 price books.
Pretty much just have special authors I am keeping and some craft books that are too wonderful to get rid of.

Dianaro so glad it was a great time....hate to say it but the organizing and tossing is just stuff and family/friends need to always be the first priority.

Sun is shining here and should be around 80 today.....gotta love this Michigan spring!!!!

Did get the cast off yesterday and hand is sore and swollen big time, hand my first therapy session too. Still limited at work but will see doctor next week for action plan. Also going to work in office for a while sorting out what got ignored the past few weeks. Also planning to do a bit of straightening in the kitchen and main living areas. It amazing what doesn't get done when one hand isn't working! And no, I won't overdo it.

The office is priority one so I can get that class underway.

Yay, BL that the cast is off. That's a step in the right direction.

Dianaro, so happy that your time with family went well.

I got a few things done in my ROTM living room. The love seat has been carried to the basement and the area rug is rolled up (DH was catching his toes on the rug - a dangerous situation for him). I want to put the rug into a longer term storage spot in my house. DH's safety is far more important that displaying "that" rug!

I'm still downsizing and rearranging storage areas. It's slow going but given enough time, I will get to where I want to be. I refuse to quit!

That is so right about DHs safety. Proud of your sticktoitness!
Eventually you finish and are surprised!

Glad the cast is off. Wondered about it being swollen. Hey grab SO and blink those baby blue/brown eyes at him and ask him to put things away for you! LOL Little girlish charms so you can relax and do what you can.
