It must be a few days since Iv been on, since Im not in this thread yet LOL! Anyhow I went to see the Dr last week about my back, and she says Iv nudged/twisted a muscle in my lower back and it should be OK in about a week.

Iv consequently been taking it easier then normal.

Yesterday I went to class and had an enjoyable time, but did feel a bit washed out, so had the rest of the day off.

Today Iv done all but my accounts for the dailies and also swept the back yard as there were a lot of little twigs and leaves all over the place. Its only a small court yard garden so nothing major.

Good to be back and see all everyone has been doing.

Waterlady :
Love your solution to the smores! Should be a wonderfully fun wedding!

Karen:
Have a great vacation, you deserve it.

Purdy:
Good to hear you will be better in a week! Glad you can take it easy.

Got the greatest compliment from DD2 about the house and how nice it looked! Didn't have anything extra to do! Love being a GONer. Before GON I would have been on a rampage trying to get things together.

I also requested some help with my solar lights to be put in outside, and the garage needed some straightening...they did that an my DD also helped me put up the spring/summer shower curtains (need two for the large bath).

We had a family night dinner on Friday, and Saturday took out DD and the boys for lunch, church, dinner and a 3D movie. It was so nice. Everything fell into place. I sure miss them leaving this morning.

Just have laundry and the vacuuming to do, but even keeping up with the ETEing kept the house is great shape!

Dinaro...great compliment you received about your house.

Relaxing day here...hung out at home, went to buffet chinese lunch, then hit the mall for playtime for DS and I took a loop around, everyone took a nap, then went to the local greenway with the bikes and took DS out to the soccer field. Came back to a nice surprise...the dogs got into a big pack of instant lattes and colored our carpet brown. DH had to make a trip to walmart to pick up additional cleaner, but he got it all out.

Nice to have an uncluttered common area space from the wkend and easy to keep it up. Washed dirty dishes. Got one pile from the bedroom weeded through, went through piles of homeowner insurance and got rid of lots of excess paperwork, cleaned several picture frames. Lots more to do in the master bedroom. DH vacuumed cat hair from our bathroom.

Morning All:

Sorry I have not posted in a week - been very busy since the weather has been like summer here.

DH and I tackled the big flower bed again this weekend and it is now ready for a little more dirt to level, fabric and mulch. What a back breaker! But I am very excited of how nice it is going to look. Of course it has now set me off looking at plants and maybe a birdbath for the center.

Kept up on the house chores and did a lot of laundry this weekend in between outside work, hung some on the back porch to dry also.

Grilled up some buffalo steaks, for those who I discussed my steaks early on in the "Squirreling money for a new frig quest" - I marinaded them in a steakhouse marinade and they turned out very good and juicy. Now my fear is over of ruining them on the grill.

I also made DH help me pick a paint color for the living room. I have driven myself nuts on this one. Little swatches all over the wall. He really doesn't care but I was truly over thinking it - imagine that! So, that project is on the burner.

This week is shaping up already. Working all day today, Tuesday-hair appt, Wednesday -taxes [be glad to get that one off my list] In between plan on working on projects this week and some will be weather dependent.

Everyone looks like they have been going full steam ahead!!

Have a great day all!

Nice weekend here, the weather beautiful here also.

After walking Finn Saturday, about an hour later he started to limp again! So we are back on rest again for him. I'll call the vet today.

Laura made corned beef and the works Saturday night, and came over for a while.

Yesterday I decided to touch up the back door from the dog scratches, ended up painting it over instead, then painted the woodwork and Kitchen window sill too. Looks great this morning. Hmm, the kitchen could use a repaint as well.

I decided to take a "fun" day for myself on the deck and try some of the crafty decor things we saw for the wedding.

While I had the paint out, decided to try to "crackle" some scraps of wood since I never did that craft. Had fun, will do some more today as DGF wants to try it also.

Went to the hardware store and "shopped" the parking lot for a weather beaten pallet which they happily gave me. (I love that store and there is a wonderful girl that works there who is totally helpful and always has a solution) I'm going to play with the boards for signs for the wedding.

Laura came over and we tried another craft that didn't work. LOL. We decided to make stuffed cabbage and had a great dinner together.

FINALLY today the bank appraiser is coming for Mom's house. If the numbers are right, we are on our way to finish the sale. It has taken forever!

Decided to stay home this morning to get some stuff done...made bed, washed dishes, made french toast for DS and I, cleaned off clothes from bedroom dresser and working on getting bedroom uncluttered. Will head to the playground in a bit or take the dogs and DS out for a walk.

Want to plant some flower seeds with DS, figure out a paint color for wood table in the back porch, go on a bike ride later.

This week is our Spring Break, but we girls are still cracking the books. Since they dragged their feet some days, we're still going strong this week. I've already told them my expectations for them and myself. My two main goals: Grade papers & sew DD's quilt and curtains!!

I'm going to talk it over with DH, but DD#2 has a bday party to attend on Sat. I have a coupon for a massage. May see if I can drop her off, get my massage and pick her back up. Will have to work on that!

I'll let you know how it goes!
Cya!

Dianaro Thanks, as usual though I find it almost impossible to rest.

Today Iv changed 3 beds and one dog bed, helped Dad do the back garden, and cooked three meals.

Iv also managed to look up a bit for class which I found confusing, luckily there are lots of good Grammar videos on You Tube for me to double check my understanding.

On top of this Im knitting some squares for a blanket for our London Dogs home (Battersea Dogs and Cats Home), who are doing a knitting project.

I also managed to do some dog training and grooming.

I must learn to rest more, but my brain is so busy its really hard to do!
