Karen your trip sounds like great fun...enjoy! Blue planet sounds like a great place to spend an afternoon...even with a gaggle of little ones! smile

Waterlady, looks to me like you got a goodly bit done!

Diana, you do GONer really well! Enjoy your family weekend!

Fleur, you accomplished a lot in 2 short days!

Vanilla, that paperwork can sure de-rail us sometimes can't it!

Took dgd to pick up some new earrings at the mall and made a few other stops while out. Then home and put together a Shepherds Pie (technically cottage pie since it's made with ground beef) which is baking now...looking forward to dinner!

Have a great evening all.

Was able to take the bike out and ds and I hung out by a creek for a bit...so nice outside. Got back several hrs later, made lunch, and I made a huge pot of lentil, sausage, and veggie soup. Hadn't cooked in the last 2 wks so good to get back into it. Did a thorough clean out of the fridge and took all the shelves out and washed them in the sink. Had fun at friends house tonite and have some cute things for the shower. House still pretty cluttered...agh! One more day to get it company ready.

Tmrow, plan on hitting kids consignment sale...love these things, store to buy shower gift, and want to pick up some flowers for the shower. Also grocery store as that didn't happen today.

Thanks ladies I can't wait to go on Monday! Really looking forward to it smile

I have done some laundry this morning and worked on my college assignment. I have made a list of things to get done this weekend and started packing already.

To be honest I am trying to distract myself today as it is the one year anniversary since my nan passed. I was doing well until I went on face book and saw all the family's statuses on my news feed frown We are all meeting up later for a memorial meal, so before then I want to get a few jobs done at home.

Catch up with you all tomorrow.

Have fun Karen on your trip, I'm jealous, haven't gotten away in a few years, except for our girl weekends in the country.

Got my hair colored yesterday, then DGF called and was passing by. She dropped off a few things for me and we took a ride to NJ to get cigarettes and she needed beer for a party this weekend. It's only 7 miles to another state from here and things are much cheaper and no bottle deposits, so the savings are big.

Came home, did a load of laundry, took Finn for a short walk, he's walking real good.

Laura came over and we sat on the porch with the door open. I warmed up the appetizers from yesterday, she loved them.

Talked to DD, wedding plans coming along.

Fleur, sounds like a great way to spend some time with ds....you got a lot done after time on the bike!

Karen, I can't believe it's been a year already since your Nan passed. ((( HUGS ))).

Waterlady, glad to hear that Finn is doing so well. You and dgf had a busy day!

Got dailies done yesterday and fixed a shepherds pie for dinner, not dgd's favorite but dh and I love it. Then back to work for a meeting (I take minutes as secretary). It was a long one last nite so home quite late and just crashed.....Today so far I've done a bit of straightening and got my bed made....will putter a bit more this afternoon. May stay home after lunch as I worked an extra 2.5 hours last nite...will talk to the boss and see what he thinks.

Have a great day all.

I being productive today! YIPEE!
-washed most of the dishes
-schooled the girls
-cleaned the wheat grinder
-made some phone calls
-and the oven is cleaning itself while I'm working. (note to self: do this on a cooler day and when we can go outside for most of it! Don't want to leave and run errands, but could work outside!)

DH called earlier. The good news: The stitches are out! The bad news: it was super painful as DH suspected. There was a knot in the stitches that somehow got twisted around and they had to dig a small hole to get it out. DH did use a local anesthetic, but was still hurting pretty bad. He just gripped the table and said "get 'er done". He had to pause them a couple of times just to take a breath. Poor guy! I pray it's all downhill for him now!

Bonnie...shepherds pie sounds good.
Wendy, rough report on your dh. Hope this is the worst of it.
Karen, wishes for lovely memories of your nan.

Beautiful day here, but my allergies have kicked in full force....sneezing, snuffy nose, itchy eyes. May have to get OTC meds until I can see my primary dr.
Ugh. Got some deals at the consign.sale, then hit the local nature preserve with ds...trails and nice lake. Got grocery shopping done at 2 stores, took nap, now headed out to buy gift for tmrow. Have dh working on getting the house ready for company and I'll help when I get home. Tmrow am, have to make cupcakes, frosting, and either cream puffs or muffins. Still have to make a card for baby shower and bday party for tmrow.

Made some Texas Caviar and refried beans wraps for supper. YUM! Then later I made our fruit "ice cream". DOUBLE YUMMY! Have been chilling since then, but apparently it's been too long as my legs are getting restless! Isn't it time for bed soon??

Cya!

yest, after posting, i nuked a tv dinner and read the last 17 org newsletters while it was cooking and cooling. next i took a much needed break from here.... i took a long bath and then painted my toe nails red. i also put up my winter socks and got down my summer 1s

fri i just couldn't get moving all day. i just managed to put vinegar thru the coffee makers and run/empty the dw. oh and ate the last slice of pie.

at five pm i decided my slump might be from what i had been eating. so.... i took myself to subway for a delishious tuna and cheese sub. i ate half at 5 and the remainder at 10pm. the food made me feel energized, but i couldn't do much from 6 - 10 b/c the power was out. no internet, so played solitaire til 950. i was just getting hungry when the power came back on! i ate the second half and got on here.
