Too funny Carol! That is a great comparison! LOL

Karen:
Love the idea of the drawing being framed.

BL:
Hope you are improving every day. I too am a woose, and don't like needles, heck I don't even like eye drops! They get upset with me at the opthomologist, I blink so fast and they have a hard time putting the drops in! LOL

Got the GFs prayer shawl delivered to her. Changed the luncheon date to Thurs. It was a better day.

We made memory braclets today in beading. Having a couple of sales this month and next to contribute to the Seniors.

One more thing crossed off my Goal's list today. State Writing Test is DONE! smile

What a day though. Rain, sleet, hail and COLD. Locked out of the testing room. Once we got into the testing room, the heater didn't work. Three students didn't show up. One student's mother didn't give her the medicine that she needs this morning so she wasn't able to focus on a darn thing. Super smart girl was only able to write 2 sentences of what was supposed to be an essay. One student had a bloody nose that wouldn't quit, and another one threw up. All that before 11:00. Then, this afternoon, I had to do individual testing with a student that would not stop talking for 3 whole hours. Good thing he's a nice kid! Came home to find out that one of the students didn't show up because his whole family has scabies. I'm so GLAD that he didn't come to the testing site. What a nightmare that would have been!

Glad this day is over! I'm pooped!

Talk about a day! You certainly had it! I can imagine you were glad it was over and were pooped! ((((((HUGS)))))))).
Are you liking the new place? I know it is too soon to be settled in but do you like the feel of it, and isn't it more convenient for you?

Finished one of the isolette covers. Will get another one started this week. The first one is a little bit bigger than the lady said, but I think it will be okay.

Completed another couple of beaded ornaments also. Worked on Christmas cards the other day too.

Yesterday I redid a January goal and wiped out all the storage bins hanging on the basement stair wall that had received stuff from the work on the trim of the staircase above. There was a lot of gyproc dust in them and on the contents, so in a way there was more to clean than the first time! All neat and tidy now.

I moved some stuff around in the basement and emptied a huge cardboard box ane put some things in for donating. Definitely a start.

Carol, that sounded like one of those days where "if anything can go wrong, it will". You must have been feeling like a centipede waiting for the other 90 shoes to drop!

It was quite a day indeed. Forget to mention that the bloody nose victim covered her test with the mess, but alas, we have no extra tests (for whatever reason) so she had to clean up the mess and continue writing in the soiled test booklet on the next page.

Was awoken this morning at 4:00 a.m. to the cat vomiting. Not once or twice, but a whopping SIX times all over the carpet that had just been cleaned. Not quite sure what he got into, but I have a sneaking suspicion is was hair because he had been playing with one of our hairbrushes. Got that all cleaned up and tried to go back to sleep, but then Mr. Hunter Kitty was feeling all better and decided it was time to run from one window to the next via the top of my bed. I love him dearly, but I honestly can't wait for the escrow to close on DS' home so that the cat can go roam all over his property and I can get some sleep.

We are enjoying our new home VERY much! So convenient to everything. DD LOVES walking to her classes at the college campus. I love that I can be anywhere in town in a matter of 5 minutes MAX. Plus, this place just suits us very well.

I am going to have to start the 15 minute thing in getting the place set up though. One would think that living amongst boxes would be motivation enough to get it all organized and put away, but apparently it's not because they are all still sitting exactly where they landed when we dropped them in here on moving day. Today, I will work on "work" for 45 minutes and then work on unpacking for 15 minutes. We'll see if that helps to get some of this mess cleaned up and it feeling more like a home.

We still need to get to the old house and finish up there. We're planning on going out there this afternoon to pick up one load of stuff, and then finish up either tomorrow or Friday.

BL - Thinking it over I have definitely decided I am a woose too laugh The design is four stars and a lily so would be quite sizeable. I was trying to think where I could have it where it could not be seen, and I thought why would I put myself through it to hide it. Whats the point? SO's tattoo sounds lovely I do like tattoos but I have decided not on my body lol

Carol and Diana - thanks I like the idea too.

I have also bought a charm bracelet with the following charms on:
three stars (the muckerteers me, DA and DC),
a lily (my paternal nans name and my maternal nans favorite flower)
a maltese cross (my maternal nan always wore one so they remind me of her)
As my maternal nan had a lot of jewellery I am sure she would love that tribute.

GOALS UPDATE
Family goals:
*Date night with DH once a week quality time at least - we have stuck to this so far despite a busy month so far

*Monthly muckerteers meeting - we will definitely meet up on the 16th, but I am hoping we can organize another less solemn meeting.

*Weekly visit to granddad - one done on Saturday we are going again tomorrow

*Memorial event of some kind for my nan it will be a year on the 16th since she passed. we are going out for a meal on the 16th

*Weigh up pros and cons of my cousins idea to get a tattoo to mark the muckers and nan. I have decided not to and I am remembering her in my own way (see above)

Health Goals
*Focus on eating more healthily and exercising 3 times a week -I have not done any exercise this week but healthy eating is going well.

House and garden
Not sure what I want to do this month I will come back to this - I am still not sure as I am so busy in other areas

College
*Complete new assignment for the 8th - done

Friends
*Weekly meeting with the girls - this has been done so far and is a necessary stress management tactic for all of us laugh

What a great idea Karen the charm braclet I mean! A pandora type I assume, They are really nice.

Have been keeping up with the house, and some of the donations.
Working on isolettes this week. Also doing some towels for Christmas and/or birthday gifts. In between those I am beading ornaments, and trying to work on my christmas cards. (I think I have too many things going on! LOL)

Have crocheting today, and am teaching some of the gals needlefelting with another friend of mine today. Then home to let out Gypsy, pick up meds, and out to lunch with my friend who had surgery . Home and getting set up for UFP group tomorrow.
Then after they leave, meeting DB and DSIL for dinner.
Sat is working at he Center for a puff pastry demo, helping with the class. Church, and then on Sunday is a birthday luncheon with my oldest son and family. It has been a wild week!

It seems like it is either feast or famine lately with things going on! Glad I can do the things I can. TYG!

The charm bracelet is a great idea, Karen!

Diana, I am starting to think that you are the Queen of Crafts! I looked up needlefelting yeterday and was very interested as I hadn't come across it before.

I worked some more on the basement yesterday and shifted stuff around. Emptied the bin of board games and put them on a shelf in an upstairs bedroom. Emptied another bin, putting some items in a storage trunk upstairs which had space, then emptied a huge box of smaller cardboard boxes and put them into the two empty bins. (this is all DH's model railway stuff, which we put away after we moved here. DS would be heartbroken if he got rid of it. Now, if only DS had a bigger house with a huge basement....)

I don't see a huge improvement in space in the basement, but I do have some stuff that is definitely going out very soon!
