Was able to follow thru on the plans to take DD2 and the boys out for her birthday for lunch, and give her her presents. Then we came home, got ready for church, and then after went to dinner and a 3D movie!
Friday all the kids were together, except DD1, who is out of state. We had a lovely time, and it was good to hear the kids talking like old times. DDs don't get in every christmas and both boys are involved with sports and other committments so summer is out sometimes also. We'll take what we can get.
Bushlady: What are you crocheting?
Bless: How did the funeral luncheon go?
Tinytina: Did you get to finish up the report cards?
Hi to everyone else
My JDIs for today: Routine and ETEing (that ETEing helps so much to keep the house in order, even with company, gals) Vacuum Laundry Dust Relax!

Today's JDI list: -finish 1 load of laundry (fold and put away) -clean out fridge -take out garbage -plan for March Break (book flight, hotel, a couple of appts)***sent emails about appts. -cook supper (chicken stir-fry with brown rice) -refill vitamin tray -find last few papers for taxes -lesson plan for the week

I'm back after another absence from the boards. At times it feels like my life goes wild and I concentrate on doing what needs to be done next.
Late last week, I spent 2 days with Mom by staying overnight in the town where she is. The biggest accomplishment from staying was that it gave her more time to think about certain issues and to give me a clearer understanding of her desires. Mom's mind is still remarkably sharp even though she is slower at processing thoughts and ideas, particularly new-to-her ideas. She is fully recovered from her bout with the flu.
As for my plans for today, I've been to church, had lunch and now I'm just being lazy. I'll do a few things but it's going to be one of those no list days.

Darlene: Glad you had time with your mother. Cherish them!
TinyTina: Good job on the report cards and your reservations!
Was able to complete my list. Just have a few items to put away from the laundry. Worked on some embroidery and finished another towel. Resting for the rest of the evening. The weather is just wonderful!

Good Morning: Sure is quiet around here again. Today I am going to a class, it has been about a month since I went to one. Looking forward to it.
House and laundry all done so it will be an easy peasy day!

First my "Just Did It" list from yesterday - - pulled the BBQ out of winter storage and used it - bought a pkg of 3 XL men's t-shirts for the fabric to make undershirts for DM - washed, dried and put away 1 load of clothing - d/w - emptied, started refilling - washed a bunch of dishes that don't fit in the d/w, left out to air-dry - went to Mom's and got the box spring that goes with DS' mattress
Now for today's JDI list - - go to Bible study this am - put away clean, air dried dishes - sewing - start the process of transforming an XL men's t-shirt into a small ladies' camisole/undershirt - baby steps reorganizing living room (I've gotten stalled on this project and need to get back at it) - clean coffee maker with vinegar - other tasks?

Good morning, all.
Memorial service and lunch afterwards went very well, in spite of heavy rain which forced everyone to crowd into the house. I stayed behind to help clean up, etc.
Yesterday, I divided my time between my friend who spent the weekend with me and my cousin, who needed help putting away things. In the p.m., I dropped my friend off at her apartment, did grocery shopping, and did a load of laundry. Oh, and did some office-related work, too.
JDIs for today:
- Continue reviewing document for work - Take DD to campus - Pick up DD in p.m. - Put away load of laundry (hung up to dry overnight) - Do another load of laundry - Clean out fridge - Take trash cans out to curb - Plan meals for the week/cook - Put gas to car

I can't seem to shake this ghastly cold, cough, and congestion but too much laundry to ignore so I've managed to complete three loads [washed, dried, folded, hung] some minor garment repairs and DH kindly carried three baskets and more than a dozen items on hangers up 3 flights. While he put away the majority, I finished the task. [Isn't it remarkable how they don't know where stuff goes]
Still need to make up meal plan but a quickie review of pantry and deep freeze will allow simple meals until health improves. Neighbor & DH went to grocery for fresh produce and dairy. Wish I could do this regularly as she provided supervision so there were no weird, not-on-the-list items Yahoo!
Have chicken, rice, veg. soup in crock pot. Dinner casserole will use the last of New Years ham, with sweet potato discs and fz. veggies from the freezer with fresh fruit salad.
I started out dusting/vacuuming main level but have run out of steam. The meds knock me on my kiester. DH said he'd do the wet work in bthrms but he's really just laughing at me and my frustration.

Cyd: Hoping you feel better fast. That is hard when you aren't well, and use to doing things. Glad DH is helping you out. Yes, they never do or want to learn where things belong! LOL
Bless: You certainly have been busy! So kind to help everyone out.
Darlene: Sounds like you are busy as usual. How lovely of you to sew the camisoles for mom. So glad she is doing so well.
Cleaned a kitchen cabinet inside and out, and decided to do the screened in part of the back porch tomorrow. The cushions need wiping and I can put out the decorations. Should wash the windows inside also, Sylvester is in his glory sleeping out there each day with the warm weather. Opening up the windows airs out the hous so nicely!
