Did you hear the shouts of joy coming from this direction? We are FINISHED moving! We finished up at the old house at about noon today and then turned in the keys and garage door openers. We took our recycling by the recycling center and used the money to buy ourselves Starbuck's treats in celebration. So happy to be finished!

Now, we get to concentrate on turning our new place (aka the storage unit) into a home. The "aka" part is because right at the moment it LOOKS like a storage unit because we have so many boxes all over the place. We'll definitely be doing some more donating and tossing for sure.

Here is my progress on my March goals:

Old House:
- Move all the remaining "tidbits" from old house to new by March 10th.
- Clean old house completely by March 10th
- Do yardwork at old house by March 10th
- Turn in keys and garage door opener by March 10th

New House:
- Empty boxes
- Finish lining shelves
- Purchase little necessities for new home (ie, command hooks, more shelf liner, etc.)
- Find a workable solution for office/craft room
- Type walk through list to give to property manager
- Arrange for Direct TV to be transferred (not a huge priority right now as we can't even get to the TV through the boxes.)

Work:
- State Writing Test for 4th and 7th graders - I'm testing site coordinator for this area - March 6th
- Gather all Quarter 3 work samples from students by March 16th
- Compile Quarter 3 work records by end of month
- Host outing to Apple Store with another teacher

DD:
- Takes SAT on March 10th
- Final rehearsal with accompany for competition on March 10th
- Shopping Day with Mom - March 11th (?)
- School trip to San Francisco - March 15-16
- Woodwind Festival/Competition March 17th
- Dress Rehearsal for Spring Concert - March 24th
- Spring Concert - March 25th
- Meet with School Counselor - March 20th

I use to say that doing crafts was cheaper than a psychiatrist, and my DH use to say, I don't know with all that you do it might be cheaper to hire a psychiatrist! LOL

Look who is talking, you are tapping the maple trees and are going to make syrup! That is awesome!

Needlefelting is a great stress reducer, IMHO. Using cookie cutters for shapes is fun also. You can decorate them also.

I don't remember if I posted goals for March but the month will be half over this week. I have been working 50-60 hrs a week at my regular job and have been exhausted. I took a week of vacation in April so that will be my much neede down time. DH and I have a few projects so I will joing the ROTM for April. I still read the posts here each day. That keeps me motivated.

Yesterday DBIL called and said they were in town with their DD and her SO. We joined them for dinner last night and had a great time with the inloves. That kind of threw off our day though.

I slept until 7:30 today which is rare for me. Trying to get motivated to get the desk cleared off. Need to pay bills and organized papers. Have the 3rd load of laundry in. It is very warm today. The golf course is even open so I am sure we will see people golfing today. Such a strange winter we had.

I have been so worried about your not posting. I am hoping all is well again. Good to see you back.

Frugal:
That is a long and busy week! Glad you are arranging some time off for yourself, but take us ME and US time when you are off.

Yes, our winter in the midwest this year has been strange, but I loved it! Hoping youare experiencing warmer temps now too this week.

Last week was a killer week, this one isn't too bad. TYG!
Like having time at home to get caught up on things. Hoping to start decorating for Easter, change out the shower curtain, and decorations for sping/summer in the guest bath.

Have a few more committments with the Center, but they are just a few hours here and there.

This weekend I crossed some more things off my March goal's list (or should I say off DD's March goal's list wink ).

DD:
- Takes SAT on March 10th
- Final rehearsal with accompany for competition on March 10th
- Shopping Day with Mom - March 11th (?)

- School trip to San Francisco - March 15-16
- Woodwind Festival/Competition March 17th
- Dress Rehearsal for Spring Concert - March 24th
- OCB Spring Concert - March 25th
- Meet with School Counselor - March 20th
- Advanced Band Concert - March 27th
- Play clarinet for Central Valley Music Teacher's Association Festival - March 29th

Kind of funny that one of her band teachers has added two more concerts though so she's had two more things to the list.

I'm still sitting here surrounded by boxes so I've had to take my own advice in regards to this particular "elephant". I need to eat it one bite at a time! (That's what I tell my students all the time when they are faced with a big project.) Today, I've gathered all the "kitchen" boxes and emptied the contents onto the long counter. Now, I just need to finish lining the shelves and put everything away in there. It won't be perfect, but it will be out of site. I will work on making it "perfect" for me at a later time once I get used to this place and how things are going to work for us. We'll be changing things around until we find the best places for it all.

I just decided that the only way I was going to get it done was to have everything out where I can actually SEE what I have and then put it away. I'll work through each room like that until I'm done. DD will be gone Thursday and Friday of this week so I won't be "taxi driver" and hopefully can devote some time to this "elephant eating".

I need to look closely at my list but unfortunately priority one is doing report cards which are due next Monday.
