Hello Everybody:
I am pleased to announce that I made myself completed the master bedroom after my appointments today except a pile of sewing that needs to be done, and a bag of items to put on ebay. I can now breathe when I walk in the room. I am going to vacuum when I get done posting and do a little jig.
My desk is clean but I still need to tweak for a more efficient work space. I didn't want to start that until I got the rest of the room done. Happy Happy! Now I am determined to keep it nice and only address one project at a time.
Need to go in the office tomorrow so I am going to load the car for half price books [didn't do today because of the rain] and drop that pile off.
It is suppose to be nice here this weekend so hopefully I can start on my projects outside. We are tearing out a big flowerbed and re-doing the whole thing. I found some 20 year garden fabric at WM this week. That would be nice if it last that long - no weeds for 20 years? Hard to believe but I will give it a try. I need to come up with some perennial ideas to add to this bed. There is hostas and day lilies in there now and it gets morning sun. I am going to LOW maintenance!

It was very nice out yesterday, I tried to get a lot done outside.
Raked out the flower beds, everything is coming up. Moved some things into the garage, did two loads of laundry. Felt a twinge in my back, (probably from lifting a box of parts for work) and it progressively got worse. Cancelled the walk with Finn.
Also cancelled DGF's visit today, don't want to be in the office when it is so nice outside.

Juju: WHOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOO Happy dancing on the bedroom completion! You go Newbie!
Waterlady: Hoping your back is better. You shouldn't lift those heavy boxes!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Just ran and ran today Taught some gals how to needlefelt, then home to let out Gypsy, phone was dead! Got a couple of important messages, and then off to my friend's house. She wanted to take me out for lunch for staying with her....then I took her shopping and then fed the fish, took in mail, reported the phone out (TYG it is back on!). Decided I am too pooped to go out for evening knitting/crocheting. Will see them tomorrow here.
Tomorrow I take gypsy to the vet for a recheck, and then home to get ready for the group.
Productivity for today: - returned the rental car, (picked up my repaired car, yesterday), tossed a few items, paid a bill, went to the bank.
Diana: Thank you for the encouragement. I feel like I have a good momentum going and it has also rubbed off on my friend that has been setting a timer and tackling her basement for 45 minutes a night.
Off to the office today - everyone have a fabulous Friday!
Wheretostart-I had two huge garage sales last summer's end. It was great to get rid of all that stuff! Plus, I made a new friend who had stopped at my sale both times. Took me all Spring and summer to get it together. I'm doing it again this year.
Juju, good for you on the bedroom, I still need to work in mine. Isn't it funny how it rubs off on our friends. My girlfriend got the "bug" and is becoming a tossing fool! Eventually if we keep this up we can organize the world! ROFL!
Everyone else busy as usual!!
It was warm but too windy (50 mph) to go outside yesterday. The tree guy still hasn't arrived to take down the broken branches from November, so I stayed out of the backyard.
Went through the LR basket, tossed a bunch of stuff. Still need to toss more.
Washed the floors, put a load of laundry away. Laura called, her father is back in the hospital with a chest infection, hope he's ok. Tomorrow, DD is coming up and we are going to Hobby Lobby and the bridal shop nearby for our first look at gowns.
Hello ladies!
First off, yahoo for Bonnie! Read the good news on your health! I'm sorry for all others who are battling illnesses, get well soon.
Good to see new faces and read your accomplishments, good motivation for others!
Been through another 10 days of work, whew! One kid leaving, two others reacting badly because of it (for some of them a loss is very disturbing) badly as in I'm up at 4:00 in the morning screaming, 2 nights last week and the other ramming his fist in the shower door and cutting himself... Add to that it was spring break so no school, 8 troubled kids in a house for that long spells more trouble!
I started seeing a psychologist, I seemed stuck and thought an outside opinion would help. 2 sessions, lots to think about. Basically I've got to stop beating myself up over passed actions, I'm still a good and able person. Easier said than done but it's work in progress. I managed to get a spot at a information meeting (only 70 places) I'd like to go back to school; at my job we have a joint program with this school to get a degree in less time than it would take if I were to take the conventional route. That's next Wednesday.
Going for my last shot for the hepatitis B vaccine, that's a good thing, some clients have that illness and they do bite! Still need to see my doctor, haven't had my blood work results yet, hope it will give me answers on why I'm so tired all the time. Did manage to walk a few times, good weather permitting.
Kids are fine and doing their thing as usual. I finished another scarf; DD requested it immediately and got rave reviews. I went out with co-workers last weekend, that was fun, lifted my spirit up! Will visit with DM on Saturday, haven't seen her in a while. Sunday I will accompany DGF to the aqua dome in Montreal, it's her youngest bday party and she has more friends than car seat places, so I volunteered to drive the 3 other little girls.
House wise during the last two weeks I took care of the essentials. PUPA regularly but the dishes weren't always washed the same day. The laundry piled up a bit but I kept the bathroom clean. In the living room the tray on the coffee table is working well in keeping it all together.
Today we started the day slow, watched tv and talked then I took care of some sewing/mending, finished with the laundry and put my bed linens in a few minutes ago, that's the last of it. DD helped in cleaning the kitchen and made up a grocery list, my fridge is so empty. I took the opportunity to clean the shelves. Need to dust in the master bedroom, clothes are put away and magazines are in the recycling bin. Finish up with fresh linens and that's done also.
But first I'm off to the grocery store and the pharmacy next to it. I should go now and try to put in a small walk afterwards, before sundown. Oh energy bottle where are you now?
You gals have been doing a great job! Rubbing off on your friends, making huge strides in your progress and even taking care of yourself!! GREAT JOB!!!
I did a bit better today, but still needed to nap. Did ask to be woken up after an hour and that worked just fine. Really trying to get some things done so I can tackle other stuff this weekend.
Girls and I got their schooling done. I sifted and ground some wheat; washed, peeled, and cut carrots; washed and prepped celery all for DH to juice (which he's doing now). After this short break, I'm going to do the dishes, make supper and bake some bread. Just have to do it. I've put it off long enough!
If you don't mind, would you please keep praying for DH's finger? They started to take the stitches out and they're stuck to the inside of the meat of his finger. Now he has to soak his finger each day and go back next Friday to get them removed. He's not looking forward to it as one caused him to break out in an instant heavy sweat when they tried to remove it. Earlier today he was actually able to move his finger more, now it's throbbing something awful. Thanks for praying!! He's determined to get back on his motorcycle soon!
Thanks! Cya!
Wendy, hoping your DH's finger heals well. DH managed to get a nasty puncture wound to his finger via knife. He caught a huge fish a few days ago and was sharpening the knife to filet it when it happened. Poor guy.
Back home from vacation...had such a great time. Will have to post a few pics later. Been unpacking, putting away dishes. DH taking a snooze since he drove the whole way. Am motivated to simplify and get rid of stuff! Getting the dogs back from IL's tonight.
Tmorrow, have to return library books that I thought were due today, but are overdue. Will have a nice fine to pay. Have some upcoming projects on my plate...presentation for work that I have to start working on with colleague and baby shower next wkend.
