Bushlady, I looked up isolette covers as well. I wonder if that is something that might be needed in my area of the world. It sounds like it might be a good purpose for some of my fabric stash. I also checked out Jabez blanket ministry but their blankets are crochet or knit, not sewn.
I'm trying to get some of my unfinished quilt tops to a finished state. I've been working on one. I'm not sure what I'll do with it when it's done. I might try to sell it but the buyer will have to pay a fair and reasonable price.
For today - - work on my quilt - baby steps in my living room - walk to the local hospital and back (about 20 min each way) - other tasks

Bushlady: What a smart lady you are! What made you think about putting a cover over the bird? That is awesome!
Well, you know they have the lights on 24-7 in the nursery so this allows the little sweeties less of those bright lights.
Darlene: Check with the local hospital, they would be able to give you suggestions on using your stash. We also make lap robes from materials. Last year we also did christmas stockings for the local township to hand out to little kiddies.
There is always something going on at the Center to do and donate. I do the sewing, jewelry, and crocheting mostly.
Today: Routine and ETEing Crocheting P/u meds lunch with friend feed fish/take in mail Get ready for UFP group on Friday
Have a great day all!

Diana, I guess I remembered reading that stunned birds needed quiet and darkness to recover, and I didn't want to move it and make things worse. I'm sure it is vital for those tiny babies to have shelter from the bright lights.
I went to the Jabez Blanket Ministry meeting and enjoyed helping to sew a blanket together, something I used to do at home before we left the country for 3 years. I came away from the meeting with a set of small knitted squares which I am crocheting around to make them larger. This will be my project before next month's meeting and I will continue it there if it isn't finished in time.
Today: It's icy out so I am getting my exercise going up and down stairs with one thing or another. The temperature has been over 10°C and water has been pouring off the roof all night and still coming. The maple pails that were installed almost sitting on the snow, are now a couple of feet above!
Dailies Launder towels - done, and drying in the basement
Investigate lumpy duvet - done, I snipped the threads in one corner and found that some of the fill is in little pills. I may take it apart one day, use the fill for pillows and remake with quilt batting, as the cover is a lovely fine thread bamboo fabric. "One day" is not specific at the moment. I just wouldn't want to pitch the whole thing in the garbage, though.
Reorganising storage - some stuff in basement will come up to the trunk in the spare room, or to the closet, hopefully freeing two large containers for better storage of other stuff in the basement and reducing the number of boxes around.
Slide to mailbox? Will need to put crampons back on boots!

Gave a skein of yarn to one of my friends at crocheting who loved it. Can use that as a toss, right? LOL
Vacuumed the kitchen and family room. House is in good shape. Wiped out the frig, and countertops. Ready for company.

Bushlady: It is so nice to get together with other people to do donations and visit. I find that we have a wonderful time and friendships are formed. The ladies who come here twice a month are from that group.
The little ones need the darkness because they are usually in their mom's wombs so it helps them feel a little more protected I believe.
Today Routines and ETEing Gypsy to vet Prepare for UFP group Clean up Dinner with DB and DSIL
Have a great day.

Tried to call DSF this morning but he may have been out shopping, so will try again tomorrow morning. Time difference (5 hours ahead in UK) limits the ideal time to call him.
Went to funeral choir and mass, then picked up some groceries.
Dailies Fetch towels from basement and fluff in dryer Some bandaid dusting and vacuuming as I want to go for a walk while it is fine Take out compost Finish taking apart crib and take down to basement before donating.

It's great to see and read the reports from you busy ladies! Well done!
As for me, at the end of this week I had an unplanned overnight trip happen. DH was sent to The City for a medical test. I'm praying that this test will reveal a reason for his ongoing pain levels.
Today I have a day at home so I want to make good use of it - - d/w - empty and start refilling - laundry - bed sheets and "dark" clothes - remake master bed with clean bed sheets - sewing on my quilt - baby steps reorganizing living room - other tasks?
