Bless so glad the party went well, and you had some help! I knew it would be a great success! Happy Birthday to little Bless.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Today: Routines and ETE Water Delivery Pick up lunch for friend and myself Visit/drop off prayer shawl Beading HOME!
This week is going to be busy, as is next week. I am feeling much more energetic today thanks to the sun being out. It is still cold, but is suppose to warm up later in the week. Even the cold doesn't bother me as much as not having sun!
Yesterday I did go out on the snowshoes, for 10 minutes. The cold wasn't a problem for such a short time, but the condition of the snow was horrid due to the cold. It was all crunchy and our trails seemed too narrow. I seemed to be tripping over the shoes and fell about 3 times. Normally I go round at speed but I had to go very carefully. I want my soft snow back again!
The sun is out and it was -18°C when we got up. The sun makes all the difference, as you are finding, Diana. Warmer but gloomy is not pleasant.
Today: Dailies Start stew in crockpot Steam mop vinyl floors before DH comes back from his dentist Church with my friend for an hour Make yoghurt Clean our bathroom Walk to mailbox Do not attempt to snowshoe!
I know just what you mean Bushlady. Warmer and gloomy is a Maritime winter. We get the big fluffy flakes with some sun and then here comes the rain and it is just a slushy mess. I am not one of the thousands going to work with no buses.5 weeks so far and it has cost my son 600.00 between parking and gas prices.Get it together guys and get the buses back. Seems like an essential sevice to me. I have got into a routine with this extra cooking and watching all numbers with my hubby.He is doing really well. I will next make a chicken soup sans salt but there are some wonderful spices out there. Will go to store to pick up more fresh vegs for salad. One load of laundry to do. Would like to walk Charlie. Everything is so coated with salt. If I have to wash his feet later it is so hard on my spine. we will see. Ann 39
Decided to cancel lunch with friend until Thurs. Weather is going to be warmer and it will be better for her.
Did the rest of the list. Tonight I will work on some more beading or card making.
Ann So glad to hear DH is doing good.
Good morning! Am home until this afternoon when I get my hair cut and dye! Have to feed the grandfish and take in the mail at DS2s home. DDIL went with him on his lastest business trip, glad she is getting away to relax for a few days. Her mom is done with radiation and chemo for now, so it is a good place for now.
Today I have a few things I wish to complete.
Routine and ETEing Babystep in basement (look thru items to sell for card store) Straighten out supply closet Pay a few bills Haircut Feed fish and p/u mail Craft
does just puttering count as JDI. you know the puttering days ladies. I have been so controlled in my behaviour lately I have to loosen the screws today. I myself am feeling a bit better so thats how I want to play it.I do have some groceries to get and early morning I had my bloodtest done. I have both xrays and catscans this week so today I putter. ann 39
Puttering is a valuable task IMHO! We relax, but we also get at little bitsy tasks that never quite fitted in with the grand picture. We look at stuff and get ideas for the future. Sometimes we come across something to repurpose or something to toss. I'm all for puttering for a good break from the other tasks.
I'm not sure I would recommend puttering in the middle of the night, but I woke at 4 am for a bathroom break and decided to feed the wood furnace. While in the basement I looked around and walked around the main area (unfinished except for paint on the walls) and realised that the pile of boxes that need to be dealt with could be better sorted for a start.
Some contain stuff that is to be kept, like life jackets, vinyl gazebo roof, electric fan, others are stuff that needs to be considered for tossing. I decided that at the very least we could make a difference by separating out all the stuff that is essential from the other and storing it separately. Now is a good time as the maple syrup equipment is all coming out of the basement.
JDI: Dailies Phone call to change appointment Grocery shopping Finish bathroom Clean the bins on the basement stair wall. Work in basement Never did make that yoghurt. Perhaps today.
Ann puttering is good. I agree with Bushlady, it gives you food for thought on looking and checking some things. Look at what she did!
Got some of my list completed and happy about that. Now to go downstairs and check out some more items.
Got the upstairs items taken care of. Just finished up the floors.
I just looked up "isolette covers" and learned something new. It reminded me of what I learned about caring for little birds who stun themselves and how I once placed a cut out tissue box over a bird on our porch, to keep out the light and give it a chance to recover. It did! When I looked later, it had left through the end opening I had cut.
Finished patching a pair of jeans yesterday evening.
Today: Dailies Make yoghurt - done Work in basement Wash hair Possibly go to Jabez blanket ministry group that meets once a month
