Carol: Hope your feeling less achy today!

My goal for the rest of this week: organize a b'day celebration for DD (turning 19! shocked ) for next Sat. night!
Baby steps include:
- inviting guests (DONE)
- planning the menu (DONE)
- grocery shopping (Mostly done)
- Cooking (started; made the beef curry yesterday and put in the freezer, but the rest can't be cooked ahead)
- Baking & decorating the cake
- Cleaning the house
- Minimal decorating

My biggest problem will be time management! I have to take DD to her gymnastics class in the a.m.(9-11), then, take DD to campus since she's working 12:30 - 5:30 p.m. The cooking and cleaning will have to be fitted in between driving her places!

Diana it was, but I did begin to think I was going to get away with it, as it waited until last minute to get me.

Bless - Wow this year has gone fast. It seems only five minutes since you were planning her 18th. Good luck with all the preparation.

We are all recovering well. I am just a bit weak and achy. My goal this week is to get well so I can go and have cuddles with my friends new baby which was born today smile

I am staying away until I am 100%. I will continue to chip away at the book collection while I am at home.

Got my room as set up for my shirt order this week, just waiting for UPS to show up with the artwork. One of these days I'll remember to send the art to one of my other jobs that UPS shows up at early!

Working on my second load of wash.

May see if I can sneak onto a clients computer for a bit, otherwise I'll do some more office cleaning while waiting. smile

Still not feeling well and it's driving me crazy. Stuffy with a headache and I've had a lot to drink today.

Bless...I can't believe that your DD is already going to be 19 years old. WoW! What is happening to our little princesses?!?! Mine will be 17 this summer. shocked

I was still sore yesterday and TIRED. I took a melatonin and slept so well last night (only 1 mg tablet knocks me out - I have to look specifically for that dosage as the usual minimum is 3mg). Not sore at all today, but still tired. I feel like I could sleep and sleep. The weather isn't helping that any either. It is COLD! So glad that we had beautiful weather for our move over the weekend, clear sky and 65-70 degrees. Starting Sunday night, we've had rain, clouds and cold. Snow predicted for tomorrow.

I am so thankful that I purged so much stuff before we moved as this place is quite a bit smaller than the other house. I'm really going to have to get creative with setting everything up and storing things. It's going to take some time though. On the plus side, we will have NO choice but to keep things tidy and put away and organized. No more clutter-monkeys allowed! (That would be my DD as she thrives on a chaotic, messy atmosphere.)

We both LOVE our new place. DD said that she already feels like it's home even though about all we have set up are the beds and computers (hers for school and mine for work). She is able to walk to her classes that are at the community college campus, and she loves being able to do that. I like not having to drive her everywhere.

I gave her the master bedroom as it is much larger than the other one. She does all of her schoolwork and her music in there and needed more space than I do as I have my office separate from my bedroom. I was going to have it in the dining area, but there is this funky slanted wall in there that messed up my whole "imagined" floor plan. I'm set up in a corner of the living room right now and it's working fine so far. I may just keep it here. A whole lot of rearranging will be going on in the coming weeks until I come up with a final workable solution for everything (and then, there are no guarantees that I'll keep it that way whistle ).

We still have a LOT to do at the old house. Many more trips to move the small stuff over here and lots of cleaning are on the horizon. I want my WHOLE deposit back. I got it on the last move and I really would like it again as that will be what gets us through the summer financially.

Karen: Hope you continue to recover without any problems. Good idea to wait until 100% before going to see the new baby.

Diane: Hope UPS arrived with your artwork and that you, too, feel better soon.

Carol: They are growing up! And fast! Glad to hear that you are no longer sore, Turtle Woman! laugh I'm sure you'll get your deposit back from your old apartment. And I'm sure you'll have your new place set up just fine, once you've had some time to unpack and settle in.

Decided to take Friday off from work (I've plenty of vacation time), so I should have plenty of time to prepare for the party. I can get the cleaning and baking done on Fri. Feeling much better about the time crunch. smile

Well February is almost over and I didn't get to complete any of my goals for the house.

Looking forward to sitting down tomorrow and making my goals for March and see if I can accomplish them!

Mother Christmas: Sometimes, we don't accomplish what we set out to do. That's OK. Maybe March will be a better month in which to complete your goals.

Since March is already here, it's time to close this thread. The March goals thread is already up - hope to see you all there.
