Waterlady - Praying for DD's cat.

Thanks Diana I did manage to get some bits done while my cousin was here distracting him, but mainly spent the day cuddling.

He is still full of cold but the rubbish is beginning to come out now so I have a constant supply of tissue on hand.

I am keeping his chest and back covered in decongestant rub. Fingers crossed he is beginning to recover.

I did some ironing and the dishes then wiped the surfaces in the living room, and I also put a load of laundry in while my cousin was here and after DS went to bed.

Home day again tomorrow. Off to bed now night ladies!

Had a lazy day yesterday. Only went out to the store

Came home, DD called several times, and the poor cat has heart disease, same as the last cat she had. He has maybe a year to live. He's very young, and I'm glad at least my DD knew the signs and saved his life this weekend, for now. She's heartbroken as any pet owner can understand.

Then DSIL called and her dog is having a severe problem and is in the vets overnight for observation/test. I let Finn out during the night and he came back in limping and is still limping this morning. What a day!

Made a new chicken dish that turned out great and was simple to make. Straightened out the armoire and put away the laundry.
Still have to wash the sofa covers and some throws.

Went through a pile of recipes, tossed a load of them.

Waterlady -- Im so sorry for your daughter and her cat. Iv had both cats and dogs, and they are just like kids at times. So sorry to hear of the heart problem with the furbaby, at least they have a year together for lots of love and cuddles.

It seems all your pets are going through the wars at the moment, I hope Finn is much better this morning and your DSIL dog makes a full recovery.

Today I got the sitting room and vaccuming done early, so after tea break I could tackle under the desk. Iv got it cleared and the books organised into piles by subject. Iv just got to put them temporarily into bags. I need to then sort the ones outside on the landing. Once done to take down all the VCRs and put the books in their place. Quite a lot still to be done.

The desk is looking awesone now, and gives me somewhere to study once my short course starts. Its an old computer desk with a pull out bit, so even if the tops a bit full I can still write on the bit underneath.

Iv moved my dogs bed to the side, so if I need a chair I can easily fit one in. He seems quite happy for it to be where it is, although he was a bit put out as he cant leap from it onto my bed for cuddles before lights out. Im sure he will get the hang of it.

Waterlady:
I am sorry about your grandkitty. Hoping Finn is better also.

You did good yesterday with all your work.

Karen:
Good going wiith the nursing of DS. Things wait in the house.

Purdy:
You sound like you are all set with an area for studying.
Too cute about the dog liking his new bed area. Mine sleep with me. They have their own areas and they are happy. Having a feather quilt is also enticing them....they LOVE it! Sylvester has to have his nightly cuddle, Gypsy is happy to be on the feather quilt!

Ah cats! Mine emptied the toilet paper roll in the living room yesterday and this morning she knocked over a plant! Otherwise the place would look great!

This morning I got up early, met with DD to eat breakfast at the restaurant, gassed up the car, went to the post office and the grocery store. I cleaned the refrigerator, the kitchen cabinet fronts and did dishes. I wiped the door frames, door knobs and light switches all over the apartment. I swept and mopped all floors. Took a break with some tea and pc time.

Then I did laundry, PUPA clothes and magazines in the bedroom and sorted papers for Thursday. I get paid this week, always helps me to see exactly what I have to pay and not avoid it/get late fees... Also makes it easier as I see I have less work than I think, when the day comes I know it won't take long!

Need to make an appointment to the hair salon and then get ready for work, day 4 out of 6 here I go!

Pretty good today - got DIL birthday dinner ready for drop off tomorrow [details on meal planning thread] that alone was six hours in the kitchen with clean up.

Managed to dust and vacuum common areas and pupa all of the house but the master bedroom [my nemesis].

Just grabbed a hot shower and hope to get a second wind to work on the bedroom.

I was informed that my DF is coming up from Florida the first weekend of March and staying with me. He is so easy but it still sends me into a spiral - extra cleaning and trying to come up with a menu plan he would enjoy and that I can cook ahead. I want to complete the food I can freeze this weekend so I won't be stressed. I just need to come up with one more dinner. Going to make lasagna for one dinner and I will make double to put away for another meal.

Diana - I hope so. Im determind to do well in the courses, so I wanted an area to study in. Iv just recieved a 3ft white board I want to mount on the wall as well. Im not sure I can do that on my own though as its too heavy to lift and hold.

Today I took the dog for a walk, and I took some video of him walking. A lady on You Tube who often videos her walks inspired me to do the same.

I then spent half an hour in the bathroom, cleaning out the under sink cupboard and chucked a carrier of stuff away.

After a break, I then sorted out a pile of books into topics and put them into boxes and carry bags just over night. Tomorrow I hope to combine them with the others I have, so I can sort out the ones to get rid off. You can only have soo many books on one subject.

Im pooped now so will take it easy for the rest of the day.

Thank you for all the well wishes for the animals.

DSIL's dog has survived again, she has a urinary infection and should be home today. No symptoms were shown. DD on the other hand stayed home from work and called me all day frantic. The cat's coughing was back, and after numerous calls to the vet, they confirmed they think the cat has asthma as well. Luckily, she had videotaped his coughing symptoms to show the vet. the coughing is also a sign of the heart problems.

My daughter is a mess. I haven't seen the happy ecstatic bride to be in a while.

Finn is better today. I got all the paperwork done for the accountant, I'll fax it today. I moved my 'puter off my desktop and gained a lot of room. I have a few notebooks on the desk. I put them in a basket to easily move for a clear surface when I am working in here, just hope that I don't start another pile monster! It looks good this morning.

Got the downstairs vacuumed, garbage out, dishes all done and put away. Have a lot of energy this morning, hope to get a lot done.

Sorry to hear DDs kitty is not doing better. Gypsy has some infection so is on meds for 14 days. She has sneezed more than ever so it could be. Picked the meds up after my luncheon yesterday. The vet called the night before, so I arranged to get them while I was out. Glad your SIL's dog is better also.

Today is doing taxes and spiffying up the house for Friday, as I will be in and out all day long tomorrow. If I am scarce don't worry. Just running short of time.

Hoping some energy finds me Waterlady.
