Ann, welcome back to the JDI. So sorry to hear about your DH. I trust all will go well with him and that he will be back home soon. In the meantime, do what you can and don't worry about the rest. Great going on the computer fix!
Dianaro, Mom is slowly adjusting to life in the LTC. It's going to take time for her to get acquainted with some of the other residents. She is quite shy and she's in a relatively large facility. I suspect it feels quite overwhelming for her. If the weather and roads cooperate, I'm thinking of going to see her tomorrow.
Update from yesterday - d/w - empty, refill, run if needed - reorganizing baby steps in living room - take tossing to thrift shop (39 less items in my house! Wooo Hooo!) - bake a golden brownie for a dessert
For today - - online commitments (9:30 am and 8:30 pm) - bake buns - kitchen ETE - reorganizing baby steps in living room - laundry - baby steps photocopying Mom's book (Mom wrote her personal "history" when she was 80 years old. So far, she has not shared it with very many people. This is going to be a family treasure some day) - other tasks?

Ann, praying DH has a speedy recovery. Great that you were able to fix your computer and keep it operational. What words can I use to persuade you to check in at this site daily?
I hope you'll get in touch with several senior organizations and social services in your community. They offer a broad range of help including volunteers who drive and help with shopping. I don't know if they have volunteer dog walkers but it's worth asking! Perhaps a neighborhood pre-teen would substitute for a small fee.
Take it easy, baby steps,baby steps, what doesn't get done today will wait for tomorrow.

Ann So sorry about DH, hoping and praying he is coming home soon. You are doing great girlfriend, fixing your computer, and doing what you can. We cannot do it all anymore, which is fine, just part of "growing up". (((((HUGS))))) and keep us posted.
Gypsy and Sylvester send you Hugs too!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Well, the beauty outside is wonderful, with the snow, but that means the UFP group isn't meeting, but will I let that stop me? NO! Going to spend the time working on finishing some things today.
Routines and ETEing Embroidery Beading
I am so glad I mailed the taxes yesterday before my knitting meeting. I would never venture out today. They are just going to the accountant, but it would have had to wait a few more days.
Had a wonderful lunch with my neighbor, and got home just as the snow fell. Didn't go to the night time group as I was a little afraid to travel 20 minutes should the snow really fall hard.
Well, if only I can stay awake when I get home, I might actually get something done! Got home at 8:00 p.m. yesterday, sat down on the sofa to drink my coffee, took 2 sips, put the cup down and fell asleep till nearly 10:00 p.m.!  JDIs for today: - Stay awake!
No wonder Bless! Driving most of the day is so tiring, and having to work doesn't help either! Don't be so hard on yourself! Do what you can during the week and major work on the weekend if possible. Maybe just do the branches in babysteps?
Sorry I've been off the radar for a while. Haven't been doing too well due to depression but am getting help and doing therapeutic writing. I have been following the threads and thinking about you all.
Excited for you Carol, with your move coming up. Thinking of you Ann, I'm not much younger than you and I understand what being without a vehicle can be like in places where there are no buses. Hope your DH does well.
Karen, hope your little guy is soon back in good health. So sad when kids are sick, to see them all droopy instead of their usual energetic selves.
Hope your mother is settling in, Darlene. Changes are hard at any age and she is no youngster, but she will start to feel part of that community with time, I saw it with an elderly friend of mine in a care home.
Sorry about the tragedies, Maureen. We lost two local people in a car crash not too long ago, and it does hurt, doesn't it?
Tina, (18 Feb) - definitely don't beat up on yourself! : D
Diana, you keep us all encouraged so well. I just love that Gypsy has her own pill box! I do one up for myself and DH every week but never had to do one for a pet.
Bless, I'm so glad you had that long nap. Take it as a gift, even if you didn't get anything done. You amaze me with your busy life.
Well, we had a big dump of snow overnight and it was good to have our man arrive with the big machine to do the driveway, before we were even out of bed.
Todays JDI Laundry Some grocery shopping Snowshoeing perhaps, our backyard trails are just a faint mark in the snow!
Bushlady, lovely to hear from you again. I wondered where you were, but figured you were busy. Sorry to hear that you were feeling down, but good to know that you are taking steps to deal with it. (((HUGS))) Diana: Thank you. You are very compassionate and kind. Well, I didn't do my JDI, yesterday! I took another long nap, instead!  JDIs for today: - Put gas to the car- Take DD to gymnastics & back- Take DD to work & back- Do 4 hrs. office-related work (review of document), while I wait for DD - Make 3 phone calls after I come home in the p.m. I also need to develop a plan of action for next week's party (DD's b'day). I'm having a dinner for family & friends on Sat. and DD just informed me that she'll be working Sat. afternoon, which means I won't have the time I thought I'd have next Sat., to clean, grocery shop and cook!
Wow, my apologizes everyone, I haven't been here in a few days and I was very glad yesterday was a day off from school as I was home sick. Still not feeling 100% today.
I haven't had time to go back and say things to everyone.
Although I will say I hope your DH comes home soon Ann.
Ah, much better - I did everything on my list PLUS, I did part of the grocery shopping for next week's party! AND, it is only 7:30 p.m.! Other days, I am still on the road, or just about pulling into the drive way.
I think I'll give myself permission to relax for the rest of the day. Tomorrow, I will do the housework and run a few errands.
