Sorry to hear how uncaring your company is for your well being!
Nothing like compassion.

Glad DH is such a good hearted guy. Quite the opposite of what you were use to for sure. WIN WIN is right! I know you meant them working in the basement making room for the air hockey, but you also WON WON on picking him.

BTW ever play air hockey? The boys and DH use to play it all the time. It was fun playing and watching.

I keep working on reorganizing stuff in my living room. So far, it's still a massive mess in here but I know I've made progress! By keeping at it, I'll eventually get this place looking and functioning better. Actually, better function trumps looks although both would certainly be nice.

I hear you Darlene about both function and looks! It is so funny how out of the mess we make, things eventually come around and it starts to look much better.

dianaro, so agree with you about the remarks to Darlene. It does get there eventually. You need to get rid of the stuff first, see what's left, then play around with the rearrangement of it, sometimes multiple times until you see what works!

It's funny about the ex. He wasn't a bad guy and had a great sense of humor. It's just that he was lazy and became very selfish and self centered. When he started lying and I caught him one too many times, I knew I couldn't live with that.

The good karma continues here....SO's dad found a new truck and SO and he agreed to a very fair price(personally I think its too good) so he got it yesterday, and he also hit on the four digit in the lottery so he said he was going to give his dad an extra five hundred for it! With the leftover winnings he took me out to Red lobster for dinner....nice way to spend day off....although no progress at the home front....that will be reserved for tomorrow.

Did a babystep or two this morning. Brought up some trash, and matched what I could with the bins. Going to keep a few of the empty ones (no tops) for the sale in April at the card store so I can carry what I wish to sell in them.

Good going Dianaro.Baby steps are what gets the job done.

Funny thing Dianaro is that the truck SO got from his dad is ten years old, but the one he has been driving is fifteen and in bad shape. Best part for the "new" model is that we know the level of care it has received....it is impeccable. The only issue is a wear hole on the drivers seat by the door....no biggie.

I am working hard to get a few things done in the next several days as I found out yesterday that the wrist is not healing....next step is surgery which means 7 more weeks of afternoon shifts(at least I have a job), 3 weeks in a cast and 3 more weeks of therapy after that .....we are trying to get it approved and done next Tuesday.

So ROTM is gonna be slow....made a to do list prior to surgery that includes cutting hair and color treatment so the white doesn't show!!

Actually found out the old truck is 18 years old. The new one gets 6-8 miles more per gallon and the insurance for liability only, only went up $13 every 6 months. Though I would rather see him in a higher mileage vehicle, that will never happen....he's a farm boy and truk man through and through.

Not as productive as I wanted yesterday to be....my baby steps meant all laundry done and put away, scheduled a hair cut, spent 3 hours with at dmv doing the tag and title transfer(arrgghh) and early to bed.

Working in the office right now and looking at the many inches of snow that came down and heavy snow falling too. Going to budget an hour and thirty to work as haven't seen much in the way of snow trucks(normally allow 45).

Going to get the current bills paid, receipts filed, log book filled in and sort through some other things as well.

BL:
So sorry if you have to have surgery, but like you said it isn't your main use arm.

You be careful with driving. Fortunately I don't have to go out. Got hit hard with the snow, but the scenery is awesome!I warned the ladies not to venture out over 2" of snow, as I don't know when the drivway will be plowed. He has some business accounts that need to be taken care of before me. So I will do my UFP myself today. The house is clean, maybe do a babystep downstairs and that will be it.

BL, would you be willing to explain layout and how you use log book? I've been trying to find a method to capture DH's interest and participation in the financial aspect of home and retirement requirements without success all these years.
