Bonnie, so glad you're on the upswing! Take it slow though!

Waterlady, great going on all those drawers and cabinets! That's awesome!

Fleur, painting's not that hard. For me, the cutting in (painting trim and corners) are the the hardest. I've learned that having a good trim brush really helps. They have slanted bristles which really get into the corners without all of the bristles rubbing against it. Using painter's tape helps too!

Purdy, stay warm and be careful! No snow here yet, but we're bound to get it soon!

Karen, Hope you had a good day of relaxing!

Bubblegum, so sorry you had a rough week! Thankfully we're on the start of a new one! Hopefully it will be even better for you!

Mother Christmas, WELCOME! If you're not able to get some time off, just take a small baby step somewhere that bothers you the most. I know some ladies who've chosen just one drawer a day to clean out. By the end of the week, they tackled the whole bathroom! Just a thought!

Diane D - great going on all you did! 20 miles!! That's great! Do you ride trails or just the roads? We live in the country and would be easy to ride the roads...not a lot of traffic. But we also have access to an old railroad path that they've turned into a hiking/biking trail. Both are nice!

Well, I'm the new owner of a Toyota Sienna!! God has really blessed me with my DH. We could have taken the less expensive path with getting a car, but he wanted me to have it. Plus, we could still take people with us on small trips. (Especially his parents) Plus we were able to trade in our Sequoia, so no need to try to sell it now! Win-win!

Things have been hopping since I last wrote. A friend from church saw my FB post and offered to travel with us. She has a daughter just a year older than DD#1, so that was great to travel with them. She was a great help, as I was really tired on the way back!

Yesterday, I was still running full steam. Church, singing with girls in Am service, home for lunch and 30 minute rest, cardmaking with DSIL, back to church for trio practice and evening services. Came home, ate snack, chatted a bit with family, then off to bed! I think I was in bed by 9pm! Slept in until 5am!! Needed that!

This morning we're off again! Hair appts early this morning for the three of us, lunch with an adopted Gma from church, errands, then home again. All this just kinda happened. Then of course, there's co-op tomorrow. Not sure if I can paint those other two walls tonight, or wait until Wed. DD#2's pretty anxious, so I'll try to get to it tonight.

Well, I'd best get going! Things are going to get busy soon!
Cya!

Wendy, congrats on the van! My parents have a Sienna and love it. We got an Odyssey a few months ago after my car was on its last legs. Was on the fence about a minivan but it is wonderful. Enjoy!

Have been putzing around on the laptop for the last 30 min. Have 2 more days off and trying to figure out what to do with the time. We had to cancel all playdates bc LO still under the weather. Never made it to paperwork yesterday. On the to-do list for today/tmorrow- make grocery list, plan for a few meals and upcoming work dessert, make trip to grocery store and walmart. fill out and drop off preschool applications, transfer pics from sd drive to computer and start working on photo calendar for parents, call insurance ppl for questions, get some bills out in the mail, get some fresh air/exercise!

Wendy - congrats! I did the road for that ride. We have tons of true mountain bike trails around here but until my heart rate comes down I am staying off them. We also have some rail trails (that was my New Years Day ride with friends) but it's about a 20 minute drive to get there. Even though I prefer the mountain to the road, there's something to be said about leaving from your driveway. smile

Yesterday I got work from two jobs done, stopped by my parents to show them the recipes I found in my grandmothers writing and made something in my "bean pot"! I also finished the first book I got from the library and started on the second (and ordered their updates from Amazon)

Had a fun shopping trip with Laura, I was able to get a few odds and ends I needed. Bumped into an old friend at Walmart.

When we got back, Laura came over and we made some coleslaw. I baked some muffins and bread. Her dad will be happy to have some homemade goodies today.

Watched most of the game, (fell asleep here and there). I tell you everyone here in NY was crazy yesterday!! I never saw so many men shopping for food in the stores! ROFL!

I am planning on going to the Nursing Home with Laura, then Aldi's and Hobby Lobby after that. (they are within a mile of where we are going)and my favorite dollar store.

Fleur - Thanks, its all gone now, todays a lot warmer about 3 degrees. It caused chaos yesterday.

Wendy - Thanks. In snowy weather I hibernate and dont go out if I can help it. Even the dog didnt want to put his paw out the front door - cant blame him really.

I changed the beds this morning and got one lot on washing. I then carried on making my college bag ready for the end of the month. Im definately getting more and more excited. Im just waiting for the start up letter to see if I need to get any text books - probably not as its a free course.

Waterlady
Hope you and Laura had a great time visiting with her dad. Sounds like she is not arguing with him anymore, good you go as a peace maker.

Wendy:
Congratulations on the new car. Many fun miles in it.
Traveling in a van is wonderful compared to a car. We had one when the kids were starting their teens. So much more pleasant with the extra room for everyone.

You sure are a busy gal. When you get to the painting you get to it.

Fleur:
I hear you on what to do on your two days off! You seem to balance it well, work and play with DS!

~~~~~~~~
Did a few things yesterday; started candy making, and finished a lap robe for hospice donation, finished a book, did another cabinet in the family room, and took a nap here and there. Perfect day for me! LOL
Purdy - Good luck with college. Glad your snow has gone in London. It is still here in Staffordshire, which is fine as long as it does not freeze.
Wendy - New car sounds great and I love the adopt a gma idea.
Today I have been to the hospital for blood tests and a chest x-ray.
It is a precaution as I had an infection in my glands and was coughing up blood last year, and although all that has stopped I am still very tired all the time.
We are thinking of adding to our family so I thought getting to the bottom of why I am tired all the time was a good idea before the exhaustion of pregnancy and babies begins again.
After that I sat and watched a film with DH, then I had a long bath. Dinner and dishes are done kitchen is all ETE/PUPA'ed, as is the living room. I have also done some branch work in the bedroom. No further plans for productivity today. Enjoy the rest of your Monday all.
Karen, hope they can find why you are feeling tired!
Decided to stay at home this morning...no real reason to use the car and nice to save on some gas. Wrote a few cks for bills, ordered a discount savings book online, made a fort for DS in his room, put away all clean dishes, sifted through some paperwork, made a date to see a friend and new baby next week, bundled DS up and went on a long walk around the neighborhood w. the dogs, went through mail on the front porch, made lunch, and DS resting on his sleeping bag in his fort, hopefully will take a nap soon smile Tried to make a phone call for FSA acct. but they had me on hold for the longest time and I gave up. Also made a clothing inventory sheet for DS. I buy alot of things for him seasons in advance, but found I was duplicating things bc I couldn't remember what I had bought. Will have to take acct. of the upcoming summer clothing already purchsed before this Sat when I hit a big consignment sale.
Also put out a few emails to start coordinating a baby shower which will be next month.
Making dinner tonight (never made it yesterday) and have a new netflix movie to watch w/DH. Going to tackle one container of paperwork this afternoon (I say this everyday, but it never happens!).
Wendy, you'll love the mini van. We had a series of them while DSs were growing up and hauled hockey, basketball teams + gear for years. It's great for DIYers as the seats fold [can be removed] and shocking how much it'll hold! We always carried a bungee cord and red, plastic 'flag' in a small baggie to facilitate circumstances when the hatch didn't quite close.
Karen:
Hoping the tests prove just over doing things.
Fleur:
Good for you. Sometimes it is nice to just stay home.
Have a couple of days like that for myself this week.
Hoping to finish up the baking and get the Valentine's mailed.
