I was supposed to work tonight at my part time job but the spring broke on the garage door and we could not get my car out. Of course we did not know it was broke until I pressed the button and it did not go up. Len came over and got the door open so we could get my car out of the garage but it was too late to go to work by then. Small world though, my client's dd gave me his name when I called to say I would not be at work. I told her I knew him and would be calling him. I know him because he is married to a girl I babysat for 20 years ago.

I had a very busy work at my FT job this week. Worked 62 hours. Tomorrow I plan to work 5-6. We have so much work which I am happy about because I would rather be overworked than underworked. Being off tonight is a blessing in a way because I have unexpected Lori time. DH rented movies tonight so he is busy with that. I have the evening to myself.

Progress on the Weekend Goals:

- Pack all things that are not essential to living this week
(Kitchen is 90% packed, but I'm pooped and will work more on it tomorrow.)
- Reserve moving truck
- Laundry Done
- Empty the final firewood from the car trunk Done
- Get all trash into car trunk to take to dump (This will be done tomorrow as I don't want the trash sitting in the trunk making the car all stinky.)

I moved all of the boxes which are packed out into the garage. We have covered porches on both the front and back of the house which have three stairs. Yes, it's only three stairs, but I figure on moving day the more steps that I can eliminate the better, even if it's only THREE. wink And speaking of boxes, if I have tossed 969 things since the 1st of THIS year, WHY do I still have so much stuff????? I'm in NO way a hoarder at all so it is just mystifying to me.

Good news Carol, power on. Moving has a good side as it reacquaints us with our stuff and it offers new choices.

Sorry about the garage door, but glad you had some YOU time.
Having the extra overtime is great also.

Cyd:
Moving is a good clean out of the house. Amazing how we acquire so much over time. Being a GONer is the nicest part of keeping things managable.

Carol:
Good going on the packing! I feel so good about this move for both you and DD!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Got the work I wanted to do done, and am doing my embroidery so it will be completed today or tomorrow!
Another update on Weekend Goals:
Progress on the Weekend Goals:
- Pack all things that are not essential to living this week
(More done on this today - Craft room is 100% packed. Just need to move the boxes down to the garage and them move out the desk, table, shelves and dresser. 3 day weekend for me so I'll do more tomorrow.)
- Reserve moving truck
- Laundry
- Empty the final firewood from the car trunk
- Get all trash into car trunk to take to dump
We are in need of more boxes, but our search in town resulted in ZERO. We'll try again tomorrow and throughout the week.
I've been doing very good and feeling upbeat about the move, but today my emotions caught up with me and I cried for nearly the entire drive to pick DD up from her father's house. It's OK. I expected it so I just let it happen. It's cleansing for me and a release.
What did surprise me though was a resurfacing of my anger about Mr. Twit. He saw that I loved R enough that I was willing to take care of him after the stroke no matter what that would entail when none of his blood relatives wanted to be bothered with it. But once R died, Mr. Twit thought I was entitled to nothing. I don't know, but I still think there is something totally wrong with that thinking. I suppose I should just feel sorry for him that he goes through life like that, but I don't. He has the choice to behave in that manner. He just will never know what REAL love is all about. Perhaps that is why he is/was so upset because he could see what I was willing to do for R when he was not willing to do the same. I'll never know. Anyway, those were feelings that I wasn't prepared to have surface again. The grief over R's death - yes. My anger towards Mr. Twit - no.
Things like that happen with grief. Crying is good and am glad you were able to get that out of your system. Stress is also
happening to you trying to get things done for the move this upcoming weekend. It will all work out! ((((HUGS)))))).
Try not to waste the energy and time trying to figure out Mr. Twit. He isn't worth one single energy cell! He will answer to his selfishness.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well moving forward with the ROTM. Sorted thru the bins and have some that don't have any covers, and think those will be tossed. Honestly took the day off after I did a few things .

Carol, big big congrats for all the good news for the kiddies and for the move. Make sure you set one box up for the kitchen and one for the bathroom as open firsts. That way you will have essentials at hand and you will appreciate that when you are ready to drop after moving all day.

Still working my way through the goals, very slowly but still making some progress. The office continues though slowly.

Goals Update!

Family goals:
*Date night with DH once a week quality time at least - we are spending quality time together at home more than anything else watching movies and cuddling on the sofa.
*Monthly muckerteers meeting
*Weekly visit to granddad 3 done 1 to go for this month
*DH's birthday 4th
*Research ideas for half term activities with DS

Health Goals
*Focus on eating more healthily I want to match or improve on last months weight loss - struggling with this at the beginning of the month but back on the wagon after a few takeaway and cake hiccups
*Increase exercise - exercise for 30 minutes 3 times a week at least. I have increased this to three times a week now but the first two weeks of February this did not happen.

House
*Continue with the decluttering - still in progress as Ebay sales get posted and things get donated
*Work on a master list of jobs that need doing - Started this and continuing to add details to the list.

College
*All up to date on assignments.
*Print off notes for presentation on the 9th
*Make sure folder is ready to be handed in on the 9th

Friends
*Weekly meeting with the girls this has been done so far
*Weekly playdate with Elly and her little boy this has been done so far
*Feb 3rd - Night out with DH and mutual friends to celebrate DHs birthday and his friend's birthday.
*Feb 17th - Best friend is back in town for the weekend so we will be out on this night.

Last Weeks Goals
*schedule chiropractor and dentist appts - not done yet as DS is ill now and last week went really fast
*visit the museum with DS and DH - cancelled as DS began with his cold on the day we were due to go.
*day out with DS at the huge indoor play ground (It is called Funsters)- Done we went last Wednesday with two of my aunts and their grandchildren. It was great to catch up with my aunts and watch my cousin's children and my little boy interact smile

The main thing I want to do is relax lets see if I can complete that goal - I did do this and due to DS being ill this week I am on enforced relaxation while I spend the majority of my time cuddling him and no I aren't complaining I can't think of anything I would rather do smile
