Thanks ladies... It was a combination of stress, fatigue, hunger, and rogue hormones.

I love having DDs' friends over but it would be nice if it was just to play and eat. some of the girls are 8 going on 18 and yet what I thought was a simple gluing craft was too much for them. so trying to find a balance btwn what they're capable of and what they won't find babyish is a challenge...

But onward and upward...

My afternoon plans have been changed so I need to redo my plan. We have freezing rain and I decided that it was not a good day to be out on the highway. I'll go to visit Mom another day this week.

So instead, I want to -
- do more cleaning, reorganizing, tossing in my kitchen (the end is in sight and I'd like to get done) (Jan ROTM)
- PUPA and repurposing of already owned items. My long-term goal is to find a better way to organize my "office" space in the living room. (Feb ROTM)
- run d/w, empty and start refilling
- other tasks?

The room is finished. Took most of the morning and am glad to say it is looking great! I even dusted the woodwork, and fan.
Blinds were done, and the two dressers and bed. Looking good.

Did a little work on Valentine's gifts.

Guess who is not "flavour of the month" today? I got the car stuck in the snow on ice combo at the entrance to the driveway and forgot everything I knew about not spinning the wheels (I didn't think they were spinning much) and now we need the reverse transmission fixing! Boohoo, I'm in the dog house!

Strip off vinyl cover and flip mattress over - DONE with help from DH
Make up bed again - DONE.

Go to church for an hour with friend - DONE
Unload dishwasher (DH's job but he has had a hard morning due to me lol) - DONE
Wash hairbrushes - DONE
Unpick leg of DH's jeans for a patch - DONE
E-mails - DONE

Oh my, is it time to start supper already?
This evening I might just bury my head into the book my friend has lent me.

Sorry about the car Bushlady. I know exactly what you are saying about which way the wheels need to go, etc. Takes longer to figure it out than to do it~! Glad you weren't hurt.

Definitely a good idea to stay in with bad weather. We are getting warmer today, felt good.

mostly have my list done. Just need to swap out the laundry one last time. the girls are camping out in the family room, so they have a bunch of clothes down here too...

Good going on your list! When you have kids things get busy quickly. I love that you let them camp out in the living room, and play. Those are much better memories than a spic and span house! Good for you!

Dd wants her room re-arranged and I promised that I would do that today so that she can sleep in there and be out of her sisters room. i so wish we had a playroom

Good morning, all.

I KNOW I was busy during the 4+ hours between getting home (at 8:15 p.m.) and going to bed (at 12:30 a.m.), but, much of it, like making coffee, cooking dinner, washing dishes, calling cousin to check on ailing uncle, etc., weren't even on my list. So, didn't cross everything off that I had on the list and some items are being carried forward. Ah, but I should be able to get home by 7:30 p.m., today, so, I'll have more time!
