Diana, thank you. I knew I wouldn't be getting home till after 8:00 p.m. today (pulled into the garage at 8:15 p.m.) and there would be dinner to get, etc. Fixed an easy dinner (warmed up some leftover chicken veggie soup and heated up some frozen garlic bread). Keeping the dishes, overnight, to have enough to run the dishwasher, tomorrow. That was kind of you to feed the feral cat. I guess she didn't want you to have to deal with her dirty dishes!

(((HUGS))Maureen. Kids parties are stressful! Hope you are feeling better today.
Bless: I have no clue what the kitty was thinking. Today we have a dusting of snow, so I should put some more out. For all I know the squirrels stole it, and brought the bowl up to their nest for snacks! LOL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Today is going to be an action day in the closet in the guest room where I can unpack the bin with my sweaters and put them in the dresser and straighten out a few things in there. Made a list as I thought of things to do this weekend along with the branches. Hopefully I will be able to do them and also get some reward time with crafting. Finished up another project last night! YEA, will happy dance later.
Bless, DH and I grew up with canned beans on toast, too, and for DH this is a treat that makes his eyes light up! I decided to try to make my own, though, because I have been readiing labels and some brands have a lot of salt. This varies with flavours, some having less salt and more sugar. Sometimes I wish I didn't read labels, life would be simpler!
Maureen, so sorry you had a tough day. Sometimes things just get right on top of us, don't they?
I did get the laundry room floor washed, and 2/3 of the bathroom vanity cleaned and reorganized. It was DH's side drawer and cupboard that took the time, but I suspect my side won't be much better when I get to it. I found a plastic container under the sink that I once used to put soap scraps in, and I washed it and labelled the lid "Adaptors" and corralled all the travel adaptors that I found in a bag in a large plastic basket in DH's cupboard. Put 2 smaller baskets in the basket as well for other items. Tidied the divided tray in his drawer, after cleaning out hair and shaver detritus (ugh).
Today: Dailies Quick visit to friends in town, some shopping and lunch out Laundry Clean out my side of the vanity Ironing Still have to finish the letter Possibly watch video
Diana, maybe you have GONer squirrels who are getting ready for the Superbowl weekend! They've got their checklist out and they are planning and preparing ahead of time: obtain bowl for snacks - DONE; obtain snacks - wait for lady to put some out for us.  Bushlady, I, too, want to try having less pre-processed foods in my diet. But I keep some canned stuff on hand for emergencies. JDIs for today: - Take DD to gymnastics- Grocery shop- Renew library book- garden- run dishwasher- 1 hr. of office-related work- Visit aunt/attend prayer meeting in p.m.
Maureen, hang in there. Some days just don't go the way we want them to. Hopefully things are looking better by now.
I had a fairly productive day yesterday. I went to visit Mom so that took care of my afternoon. Before I left though I managed to get a few things accomplised - - more PUPA - pay monthly bills - launder bed sheets, remake bed - kitchen (ROTM) cleaning, sorting, reorganizing, tossing (baby steps)
For today, I'm not doing anything that takes me out of town so that will give me more time to get things done. - wash dishes in sink - run d/w; empty and start refilling - PUPA (baby steps) - kitchen (ROTM) cleaning, sorting, reorganizing, tossing (baby steps) - go pick up a "new to me" bathmat for the bathroom, toss my old one in the trash - visit the gym for a cardio and core/balance workout - get a few groceries (I can do this on my way home from getting the bathmat and doing my workout) - take pics and post a few books for sale on the online garage sale site - laundry? - other tasks?
I got my part of the vanity cleared out and managed to toss a lot of silly little bits of clutter- that feels good!
DH has been putting some new caulking on the gap between kitchen counter and wall, and while checking the main bathroom he discovered that when the shower is on, water also runs out of the faucet, so he has taken that off to replace. Can't figure out why DS and DDIL never mentioned it when they stayed here last.
I discovered that deep down he must be a GONer at heart, as he was telling me about a friend who has an office crammed with stuff, unable to tackle it all, and how he (DH) shared his own tip of getting rid of a couple of files at a time. So he knows all about babysteps!
