I got a call late morning to fill in for bowling ~ so spent all afrernoon at the bowling alley ~ love it! Just put the cake in the oven. the girls had 2 gymnastic performances this evening and we went out to eat. I did get the table cleared! (except for what DD put back on) and I did a quick sweep of the living room. And I got the madlibs printed out.

the rest I will do tomorrow. DD ordered pizza. she also wants me to decorate... Still a m.e.s.s on the floor. (the girls are slowly going through it...)

Have a great night everyone smile

I have gotten a lot of little things done on my list this week (though I keep adding to it!).

I did get a large enough credit limit on a credit card I applied for on Sunday, so now I can transfer my entire balance over to a 0% for 18 months! The only thing that worries me is that when I called to check the limit, they didn't have record of the balance transfer so I may need to go through that again. But it will be worth it.

I stopped in Staples last night to look for pens. Very disappointed that they don't carry the variety of my favorite pen that they used to, along with some other small pens I like to carry. But I found a huge clearance table with a shredder that rang up for $27.50! They claimed it was normally $79 but when I was able to get on the price check site it comes up in the mid-$30's... but that's still ok. My other shredder almost died last year in the midst of all my shredding. A co-worker suggested spraying Pam on it and that got it going again but the blades are definitely not cutting the way they used to. I think I will set this one up in the office and get rid of the little box I use to stuff shreddable paper in. I really didn't need to spend the money but I'd hate to get stuck in the middle of one of my boxes, I still have so much to go through!

Today I have a meeting to see about another bookkeeping project. Only thing is I got our messages crossed and showed up yesterday too! Hope she doesn't see me as too flaky, can't remember the last time I did that.

Also have to pick up shirts at FedEx for an order I have. I saved almost $20 on shipping to have it delivered there instead of right to the house. smile

DEFINITELY Bushlady!
I ruined a frying pan because I got unfocused on cooking, even with the timer going, I didn't hear it where I was in the house. I since learned if I am going to get involved while cooking, take the timer with ME not leave it in the kitchen. LOL

You did good baking the beans. I purchase them! Since it is only myself to cook for regularly, most of the dinners are good for one or two more times, which helps not having to cook, but my freezers are full, and I need to do some cooking so I can use up the items before they expire!

~~~~~~~~~~
Just need to ETE today as the UFP group ladies will be here most of the afternoon. Took the cake out I had in the freezer (making more room) and will set up a buffet for tea (hot and cold) and coffee. Easy peasy
Then take a rest this evening and start on some of the ideas I have had all week, while not home! I pretty much have a plan, which is like a tumble weed. Start in one area, which causes a mess in another area, (trying to contain the messes this time)
and getting one of the projects finished before moving on to another one. I can, fortunately, close the door on the room should someone drop by.
Hello everyone,
My meeting yesterday went long so I didn't get much done around the house. I did manage to tackle my desk at school and the counter behind it and I did alot of sorting, throwing away, and filing papers.
Bushlady, frying a little bit of bacon adds a similar flavor as salt pork for the baked beans.
Today's JDI list:
-wipe counters and stove
-dishes
-wipe kitchen sink and coffee maker
-wipe bathroom
-general pick up
-vacuum
-mop bathroom and kitchen
Update from yesterday -
- online commitments - morning, late afternoon, evening
- take plastic milk jugs to the local recycling depot
- see if local recycling place takes dry cell batteries They dont frown
- show Mom's piano to a lady that might be interested in buying it She like it but she needs to talk to her DH and she'll get back to me
- pick up prescriptions at pharmacy
- kitchen (ROTM) cleaning, sorting, reorganizing, tossing (baby steps)
This morning my "cleaning fairy" is coming. Yes, I have one. I pay her to come in to clean the bathroom, vacuum carpet, sweep the tile floors and wash. Her assistance helps me immensely.
While she's doing that, I want to -
- more PUPA
- pay monthly bills
- launder bed sheets, remake bed
- kitchen (ROTM) cleaning, sorting, reorganizing, tossing (baby steps)
This afternoon I want to go visit with Mom. I'll leave after lunch and be back home late afternoon.
texasnana, glad to hear you have Max back. Seems he is one lucky dog with two people who love him and easy for you when he goes visiting.
Diana, you reminded me that I once "killed" a saucepan by allowing some potatoes to boil dry for a long time.
Tina, good tip about the bacon. Didn't have any but will remember in future.
JDI:
Dailies
Phone DSF - DONE
Clean powder room - DONE
Clean washer, dryer, tub - DONE
Wash laundry room floor
Clean out our bathroom vanity.
Fetch mail
Ironing
Finish typing a letter and print it out
Bushlady: Thank you for the bean recipe. When I was growing up, canned beans on toast was a tea time treat! When I first came to this country and had beans on toast, my American roommates couldn't believe it! They claimed I was eating a bean sandwich! laugh
*************
Today's JDIs:
- Pick up DD after she finishes her work shift at 7:15 p.m.
- Go home and relax!
That's right. I am not going to give myself any tasks for this evening!
Tomorrow will be a different story. Tomorrow, I have a full day. But today, I am going to take the evening off! laugh
YEA for you Bless. I am so proud of you! You have worked so darn hard since OCTOBER you definitely deserve some time off.
Thought of you yesterday, saw a cat (think it is a ferral (sp?)
and she looked so thin, so I put some food on the back porch for her, this morning even the bowl was gone (paper). LOL
I hope she washed it before she took it with her! laugh
