Tina, sorry about your fiance's grandmother. A sad time for you all.

Maureen, that sounds like a nasty cut, and isn't it a pest when the hand is involved? I want to pass on a tip for any of those smaller cuts that are equally a nuisance when wanting to prepare food afterwards. I have a little bottle of something called New Skin, that a friend recommended. It is great for paper cuts, cold weather cuts on finger tips and any other minor cut that hurts and needs covering. You paint on New Skin (it stings, unfortunately) one or two layers, let it dry and you are good to stick your hands in water, etc. as if nothing was wrong.

Yesterday I was so tired and even rather weepy. I had a thick head (not pain) and I did take acetaminophen, which helped. DH helped me with supper, cutting up a pound of mushrooms for lasagna while I chopped the other ingredients and did the rest. He was surprised how long it took him. I'm getting him involved more as I find cooking hard when I am tired and he needs to know how to do things.

My friends offered to drive me to church this morning so it was nice not to have to take the car out. This afternoon DH and I are going to go snowshoeing! Supper will be leftover lasagna, easy to heat up. We are going to watch a video in the evening.

You are right Sweetpea, we need time with family and friends first. Those are the rewards we get for doing a good job!

Surprised myself yesterday and had some time before I left for the day to do some branch work!

Routines and ETEing
Class (?) Depends on the weather

Basement babystep (nearing an end?)
Branch work
Crafts

Tina, please accept condolences, sorry to learn Fiance's DGM passed away. I sure his family appreciates your sending flowers, card and thoughts but understand how difficult it would be for you to get there. Take good care of yourself, emotional distress can cause health problems.

I see I haven't posted for a couple days. I've been around, reading but not posting. I managed to keep working on various projects.

This morning I went to my usual Mon morning Bible study. I enjoy getting together with the other ladies. On my way home, I stopped at the post office to get the mail and bought a black ink cartridge for my printer.

Now this afternoon, I need to get busy and get a few things done around the house.
- sewing (baby steps)
- kitchen ROTM work (cleaning, reorganizing, sorting/tossing) (baby steps)
- install new ink cartridge and finish copying Bible study lessons
- light cardio workout on stationary bike
- other tasks?

Did a little bit of branch work. Actually the kitchen is in good shape. Trying to keep things nice and neat, and not having so much in the cabinets helps alot.

Didn't get into the basement yet. Going to have a busy week, so it may have to wait until the weekend, and can put in a few babysteps then.

Yesterday evening there was such a beautiful red sky that I had to take a photo, and I was convinced that, according to the old lore, we would have a lovely day today. We woke up, after a night of disturbed sleep, to a gloomy day which later brought freezing rain!

JDI:

Dailies - mostly DONE
Change bed and launder sheets - DONE
Go to church for an hour with DF - DONE
Try out cake recipe - DONE
Type up cake recipe - DONE, but may need correction as I boobed. It worked well with missing egg in filling, but I want to try it with the egg one day, before printing out the recipe.
Also had a nap. Haven't quite finished supper clean-up. Still tired. Rain still coming down and making the driveway icy and ruining the gorgeous snow that we snowshoed in yesterday. Typical of our winters. Very thankful for a warm home when I hear about people up in Attawapiskat.
