Diana, I couldn't imagine cleaning a chandelier bit by bit, so your method was great. I think I will still eventually take down the six glass shades and wash them, though.

Cyd had better get onto those people in Bangkok to send us back our get up and go. We can't have a whole bunch of GONers slacking off!

Yesterday I couldn't get an answer from DSF, and I didn't feel like making lasagna or the cake, and just made a quick stirfry for supper using cashew nuts, frozen stirfry veggies and a little bottled sauce. Did do the ironing and mail pickup, sewed the pants I had altered, and did a lot of sorting and decluttering on my goals, and felt that I was finally making some progress on getting stuff in the right places.

Today:
Phone DSF
Dailies
Go into town for a few grocery items
Make lasagna and cake
Continue to work on goals

Definitely need my get up and go! Needless to say I didn't do half the things on my list, yesterday. I actually went to sleep before 11:00 p.m. last night and slept for 9 hrs! That is practically unheard of! The only time I go to bed before 11 p.m. or sleep for that long is when I am sick!

Woke up to a drizzly, gloomy day.

JDIs for today:

- Take DD to gymnastics and back
- Laundry
- Clean house
- Finish up bathroom branch
- Start on kitchen branch
- Organize linen closet
- Go for a walk
- Start new compost pile

Wish me luck!

Good luck getting stuff done today Bless. Hopefully your sleep helped.

My fiance's grandmother passed away early this morning so I am having a hard time finding my "get up and go" today. I don't think I will be able to get home at this time.

I didn't get to my list yesterday, so I am giving it another shot today.

I will make my JDI list:
-wash dishes (done)
-2 loads of laundry (1st load in the dryer, 2nd load in the washer)
-strip (done) and remake bed linens
-vacuum
-mop kitchen and bathroom floors
-wipe kitchen counters/stove (don)
-take out garbage
-check emails
-pay bills
-mark schoolwork/planning
-send out 2 sympathy cards (done)
-refill vitamin tray (done)

((HUGS)) Tina ~ when dh's DGM passed away dh wasn't working. We could hardly afford one ticket let alone two. So, I was the only "grandchild" that wasn't there even though I would've dearly loved to be.

I just sliced my finger and its hurting so will post more later

Tina: My deepest sympathies. I am sure the family will know that you are there in spirit.

Maureen: Oh no! What happened? Take care of your hand!

Well, the rain stopped mid morning and now, it is bright sunshine! I actually felt a bit energetic, so, went for a walk! Doing laundry and tidying up the linen closet. Taking a break to eat a snack.

Tinytina I'm sorry to hear about fiance's DGM passing. Hope all goes well...

Maureen-Ouch! That has happened to me...at different times in my life.

Bless-I've been working on my new picture sharing skills. So I've learned to make an album online to fit websites that won't take what my computer pictures hold. DS taught me how the other night, so I'm practicing so it becomes old hat!

I did fold some laundry, take a bath, checked emails, plan on cleaning up the kitchen. Besides learning photos skills, I'm a new Grandmother.

I guess it is a let down from the holidays. A lot of people are feeling this way.

I was able to do my babystep in the basement. Put some more christmas bins on the shelves, gather up some plastic bags to bring to the grocery store for recycling. Got some boxes and tissue to wrap up the ornaments as I finish them up. Then I can tag them for next christmas.

Tina didn't see about fiances' grandma. So sorry, and my sympathy to all of you.

Bushlady:
I would wipe off the lightbulbs by hand, but the crystals were cleaned by the other method I mentioned. Easy peasy!

Just doing the minimum today. Have a play and dinner out with friends today.

I try and take one day off a week where I can play and not feel guilty, do any of you? You should remember to reward yourselves after yo work so hard in the house.

I have a hard time keeping enough energy to stay on top of the every day stuff. Work sometimes just leaves me too tuckered out but I am learning how to pace myself so I can get a good walk in even if there is a chore to be done.

I try and say yes when an opportunity arises to go out to a play as that is something I really enjoy. There will always be a chore of some kind waiting and I don't want to let that be the only thing I do.
