Bushlady: I'm disappointed too when there are items in my flyer that our local groc store doesn't carry ~ but probably better for my waistline and bank account!

Got my list done yesterday only now my table is covered in scrapbooking! I ordered a wheeled tote and it should be coming in a couple of days ~ it will be nice to have it as a "new home" for my things!

Tues JDI:
*workout DONE
*lunch with DD DONE
*power layouts for scrapbooking
*gymnastics

Well I got all done but lunch. I also cancelled my hair appt. due to the snow/sleet and cold. Not venturing out in that.
Was able to get to the post office and pick up some pet food and supplies, was finished just as the sleet starting falling.

Worked on Branch work, and finished the baths. I had done my bath a week or so ago, and finished up the vanity and drawers in the main bath today. Did the floor, and woodwork.

Also did some work in the basement and brought up 3 more boxes!
(I told you they multiply!) Glad to see things looking so much better.

Got the vacuuming and spot cleaning downstairs done but didn't dust!

DH and I walked in the snow to the communal mail boxes to post my letters and cards and discovered that one envelope wasn't sticking, so we walked round to our friends to cadge a bit of sticky tape, and had a chat before going back to the mailbox. Started walking back and came across another neighbour driving towards us, who stopped for a chat. Then he remarked that the mail van was just arriving, so we turned round and walked back to see if we had anything. Met more neighbours in an SUV and had a chat! Quite a sociable outing considering we live out of town, and sometimes there doesn't seem to be a soul around on a winter's day.

The snow continues and every couple of hours DH goes out and shovels a bit, to try and keep ahead of it on the pathway. Tomorrow we will need the plow for sure.

Did a small load of laundry, wrote some e-mails, mended a fridge magnet that had come apart, folded yesterday's laundry. All done at a leisurely pace, so leisurely that I almost burnt the braised steak I was cooking on top of the stove!

I'm glad I took that outdoor walk on Monday. It's even colder now - this morning we're under "severe wind chill warnings". The air temperature right now is -28 C (or -18F) and if there's any wind at all, that would feel brutally cold! Exposed skin can freeze quickly when it's this cold. I think I'll plan on an indoor day today.

First, an update from yesterday -
- sorting, cleaning, tossing and reorganizing in my kitchen ROTM (baby steps) DH wondered if it was spring since I was cleaning. Maybe that kind of thinking would help us "feel" warmer??
- sewing (baby steps)
- kitchen ETE
- PUPA
- laundry (1 load)
- online commitment - afternoon

I pulled out 4 cookbooks that I'm willing to get rid of. I'll add them to my tossing count when they actually leave my house.

For today -
- online commitment - morning
- kitchen ETE
- sewing (baby steps)
- sorting, cleaning, reorganizing and tossing in my kitchen ROTM
- 30 min on my stationary bike (light cardio)
- other tasks?

Wow, Darlene, that sounds brutal! We are much better off in mid-northern Ontario right now. Except that we had a mountain of snow. This morning we were awakened at 5.30 am by our guy who plows the driveway. He has an enormous machine and does a wonderful job. Any thoughts of a "snow day" soon disappeared. Then the next door neighbour started clearing his snow himself, so the noise continued.

Got up late, after breakfast DH went into town and I steamcleaned the vinyl floors.
Washed bathroom mats. Wrote and got rid of a lot of e-mails. Made lunch. Tidied kitchen.

JDI;
hang mats in basement
Walk to mailbox with DH
Make pastry and use up tortiere meat saved in freezer.
Take in a pair of pants.
More babysteps on goals

Thanks Darlene for sending the cold here. We have the wind too!

Don't know if I will be going out or not today. The wind just takes my breath away, so better off inside. Also expecting 4-6" of snow tomorrow. I guess Winter is back.

Today:
Babystep
Crafting

Because I did some spiffying in the bedrooms and the branch work is completed for this week, I can have an easy day today! Will play and relax and read whether I go out or not.

Can't think of anything so urgent I desperately have to do it, but no doubt I will come up with some ideas when I get my eyes open!

JDI:

Dailies
Hand wash several items
Run errands in town: look for pants on sale, return library books, pick up groceries
Continue to work on goals
