We've already received shipping notice that DD's textbooks are on their way.

And, we've just returned from looking at the condo that will be coming available next month. It looks really good, and I think it will work out perfectly for us. It is A LOT smaller than where we are now so we will have to do some major downsizing of our stuff, but that's OK by me. The best part is right off the bat I will be paying $425/month less than here because the rent is $400 less and it includes trash pickup so I won't be paying $25 for that any more either. I may actually be able to get back on track financially which would be WONDERFUL! I haven't told her for sure yet whether we're going to take it or not, but I'm pretty she we will have her hold it for us. It's in the back of the condo complex where it is very quiet. Gated community. It's all one level so no more stairs. Washer/Dryer in the unit. We would have access to a pool for summer. No yardwork. And, it's a block away from my parent's house and walking distance to DD's college campus so if ever I couldn't get her there, she could walk.

I've got a super busy weekend ahead of me with meeting deadlines for work, but I plan to take breaks to sort through those boxes in the hall closet and start "tossing".

Carol: It sounds like the condo has a lot to recommend it! Lower cost, ideally located, lots of amenities, etc. Hope it works out for you.

I hope the condo works out for you, Carol. I bet you can't wait to get at those boxes with this possibility of a good move in mind!

I think it sounds perfect for you and DD, and that someone is watching over both of you. ((((((HUGS))))))))), Nice to be close to family also.

One of my luncheons is being postponed until next month due to the snow, and one of the gals has a chance to go to Florida, and I think she should. Hopefully we can meet in Feb.

Going to head down and start my babysteps.

A babystep on one of my January goals. I tackled a desk drawer again and this time I weeded out and tossed about 50% of the contents. I shall be revisiting this as tossing is a multi-layered occupation. We go back and review and toss again!

Also went through some papers in a cardboard 5 level filing tray on a desk and tossed some. The rest will eventually go into the filing cabinet, probably after further weeding.

Thanks Dianaro2 and Maureen. I did get the negatives printed up! It was great! I'm with my niece standing on a cliff overlooking the ocean and another pic of my mother and the ocean and view behind her as well.

Then there were other pics of our family home and I'm in the pool with nieces and nephews, ah to be that young again! Plus there was pics of my brother and my Grandmother. So that was fun to see. Also what is nice is that the store made a CD also so I can put it online and share. So that will be fun to do and give me practice on doing that! LOL!

Also learned how to put my photo card in as look a pics on their device. Right now I can't put a photo card on my computer. So I was able to see pictures taken recently as well as Christmas so that was fun and I had some printed up.

So I'm achieving my goal of becoming more digital savey! (sp?)

Karalin - The photos sound heavenly. I have just sorted through all the photos at my grandparents house, and like you discovered many that bought back lovely memories and some I had never seen

Carol - Great news about the condo!

Bushlady - Well done on the baby step.

No progress for me on goals to report just stopping by to say hello smile

Hello everyone,

I'm really impressed by how much many of you are getting done.

My list is still looking very sad:

-deal with the 2011 paperwork
-find tax paperwork for 2011
-start files for 2012
-sort and store paperwork
-file paperwork
-clear off coffee table (**started by picking up magazines and putting it into a magazine holder) and dining room table
-clear out email inboxes(**1 cleared out, approx. 200 left in the 2nd)
-scan paperwork and sort into files (folders)

-bead (jewelery) *crafting **made 2 pairs of earrings so far
-declutter

*Spent time this week on straightening up at school- my desk and paperwork are slightly sorted (trying to find better storage options)

My main goals for January were to work daily on a course I am taking on-line and that is going well, sticking to a lesson a day before work with a timer so even if it's not complete when I have to get ready for work I've made progress; and I am breaking down an office for a job that has come to an end after several years. That is not going as quickly as I'd like, got quite a lot done on the holidays but am a bit stalled. Need to make some kind of plan...
