texasnana Hoping your dog gets returned home. Don't let him blackmail you in order to get your dog back. You can always call the police and report him for kidnapping the dog! Sorry you have to face that, but good for you in stepping up and telling him he has to leave. (couldn't have done it sooner). He isn't dangerous is he? Will pray things go smoothly.
Got the babystep done and the embroidery. No cards today.

No he is not dangerous just angry at me. He called a neighbor and told her he and Max were having a daddy and doggie outing at a nearby hotel. I will give him until tomorrow then the search is on, he is my dog afterall.
Household chores done for the day time to relax and do some cross stitching. Now that I know Max is being pampered for the night.

Texasnana, sorry to hear about your problems, and I hope everything works out well for you. So Max is having a good time? - traitor dawg! : )
Yesterday DH took the box of toys to the people who we were donating to. In the afternoon we got to the concert and it was really enjoyable. Must have been relaxing as DH fell asleep during the first half! Yesterday evening I got another "cat pad" made for the animal shelter.
Went to mass this morning, then made carrot soup for lunch with sandwiches. Went for a walk, read a book, put a load of towels in the washer and dryer. I guess I will haul them out now and fold them, then maybe tackle one more cat pad as they are so easy to make.

I had a productive day yesterday. I got quite a bit done. - bake buns I kept going until I had about 11 doz done. That will keep us chewing for a while! - kitchen ETE - sorting/tossing/reorganizing/cleaning in kitchen (baby steps) - empty d/w; start refilling; run if and when full - sewing (baby steps) - PUPA (baby steps)
I was checking my cold storage room to see if there was a way to rearrange the room to fit Mom's small freezer in. I didn't find a way to fit the extra freezer in but I did find the playpen that has not been used in some time. I decided to set it up and take a pic for selling it online. However, I found the thing covered in mold so I shoved all the pieces into a trash bag and tossed it!
Today I went to church and then went to visit Mom. She is enjoying being with other seniors. That's reassuring to me. I took her a nightgown that I had sewn. I think I've finally got the design figured out. I've got one more partially sewn and one that I'll need to bring home to modify. That should have her supplied with enough nightgowns. This project is also using some of my fabric stash - win win.

Had a lovely afternoon out with sister and brother-in-law. Later, put away all the holiday decor and gave the garage a "lick and a promise" (tossed a few things, swept, etc.) Might have done more, but it was dusty and the asthma started to act up, so, came inside, changed clothes, took my inhaler and am resting now.
JDIs for tomorrow:
- Take the car for an oil change, etc. - Take DD shopping

One more cat pad made yesterday evening.
We woke up late and found that the power had been off for the last half hour! So DH was out battling with the generator, and muttering that he should have checked it before needed. Thank heavens for "Quickstart". He was able to remove the air filter and squirt some in and "bingo"!
It was good to be able to have hot tea and oatmeal after all, on this cold morning. The power will be off for a while, which means that certain chores will have to wait.
JDI:
Change sheets (laundering will have to wait until power returns) Go to Adoration hour with DGF Go out again after lunch and pick up a load of groceries. Continue to work on goals. Vacuuming will have to wait until tomorrow.

Good morning all!
Glad you have the generator Bushlady!
Had a wonderful time with scrapbooking on Sat. Wasn't feeling well at all yesterday morning but revived in time to go to worship and then we went on to "town". Had a nice lunch out and then picked up a few groceries and did a wee bit of shopping. Came home and had a nap and then a relaxing evening.
Mon JDI: *laundry *read book *clear table *scrapbook party with DDs

Bushlady-That is not fun to find out your power had been out. That has happened to us a few times. One time though, a storm knocked over a tree and fell on our line. But thanks to my DS preparedness, another son was able to turn on the generator and it gave enough electricity to keep the freezers and some lights going, plus A/C.
