Dianaro - His worn it twice and taken if off twice. He comes downstairs from upstairs and shivers so he definately needs something. His in front of the electric fire as we speak!

Today its bitterly cold barely getting up to 6 degrees, it was -4 last night.

Today I tackled the beauro pull down section. I just put back things I would definately use sitting there and put the rest in a box ready for the over stairs cupboard. Iv got a bag of notebooks to go through but I hope to get rid of most of those. Any notepads I dont need Im giving to my Dad as he likes to have a scribble now and again.

Went to the lawyers yesterday and signed the contract. Then hit a few stores on the way home, went to Target and got the storage bins I needed on sale.

A quick stop at the supermarket and then home. Was very windy and cold, so no walk for Finn, he has a yard to play in, and he was being a couch potato.

Did a lot of searching online for rustic favors for DD's wedding. We are having a lot of fun, and so far we are on the same "page" with what we like for decor, etc. She is really funny, she thinks I am very creative although I don't consider myself a crafter at all.

Got a call from my cousin that my aunt had a major heart attack, and we almost lost her. She is doing well, I am going to visit her today in the hospital. My DGF also called, her husband also had a major heart attack and is in the same hospital after getting 4 bypasses. Yikes.

Laura brought over a really nice dinner last night, she didn't stay, it was brutally cold out.

After I get home today I will try to get the kitchen paper pile off the counter, and finish up the DR. That will give me some visual peace. LOL.

So sorry about your aunt and your DGF's husband.
Hope they recover quickly.

It is freezing here 1 last night!

Hey, can I get in with you and Laura on those dinners? I sure would love that! When I did the exchange with a couple of friends it was fun, but the one lady lived pretty far so you really had to plan the exchange, where the other one lived next door to me, but had to quit due to a diet restriction. (or maybe my cooking???? LOL)

Well going to start my day and see how productive I will be.

I'm so sad today, I slept most of yesterday just couldn't keep the energy level up. Snow fell all day too, I thought I'd wait until this morning to see if I'd hit the roads but decided I wasn't feeling up to the trip. Mind you I'm sure the highways were fine but surely I would need an hour of so more of travelling, making it a 4 hour drive, then back around supper time, traffic, darkness... and I didn't want to give anyone my illness, who goes to a funeral and doesn't hug or kiss loved ones?

I sent an email to family members, I'm feeling cheap. I have a cousin who took a train, with her 3 young kids to get there and I can't even muster up the energy to drive there. woe is me.

DGF called and invited me to go down hill sliding. We have a hill next to the indoor ice rink that is organized for this activity every year. It will be better than to stay home alone, the kids laughter will do wonders to reconcile myself with life and death today. Hoping the fresh air will get rid of my headache and lingering abdominal cramps.

Hug a loved one for me. Time spent here is so precious. Waterlady, so so sorry to hear about the heart attacks.

So sorry to hear about your troubles, Bubblegum. I found out a woman couldn't leave her home to go to her Mother's funeral, so she was able to skype it and it turned out well between her and her siblings who couldn't understand why she wouldn't travel to the funeral.

Friends always help to lift spirits, so I'm glad you had some fun. Karalin

Waterlady - Sorry to about your aunt and DGF's husband very scary I hope they recover quickly.

Purdy - Its freezing in the Midlands too. Typical English weather warm at the beginning of the week then frost the latter half lol. I seem to inadvertedly collect notebooks too I just like to know I have enough for my endless list making smile wink

Today I visited some friends then DM and stepdad came and were here all afternoon, so no productivity to report.

Well it is below zero here, and I am still inside and staying!

Bubblegum:
If you were nice to your aunt and loved her while she was alive, that is what matters. Not the funeral....((((((HUGS))))))
Hope you feel better.

Karen:
Glad you visited and rested some today with family,

I switched out some dishes today, did a few anniversary cards( well started them) and did a couple of babysteps in the basement. Have a lot of gifts down there. As I continue to sort things out, I will start to put them into boxes and tag them with a slip of paper. I know I will be adding things as I go along...

Diana it wasn't intentional resting I had great plans for my afternoon, but then my DS dragged my stepdad upstairs to play Lego and that was that. I was stuck listening to my mum for 3 hours, and as you know we don't have the best of relationships. However my frustrating hours were worth it. DS loves playing with his granddad Barry smile

Sooo today I have got some of yesterdays planned tasks knocked off already (only 10.30am here).

I have attacked all the corners of the groundfloor rooms for cobwebs
I cleaned the under the sink cupboard in the kitchen,
I packaged ebay sales, bagged non ebay sales for donation,
I have put a load of laundry in the washer.

I am off to see what else I can get done smile

I kinda of opened a can of worms last night. I decided to empty a shelf in my ROTM. I packed all books on that shelf in a box. Then I had some shoeboxes on there that I had sorted papers into when I first found this site years ago! I pulled down two, one with pix and one with what I thought were my exhs receipts. I was only partially right on his, under a bag of his were a mixed batch so I had to be careful going through them. I don't bother shredding stuff with his name but I do with mine. I also found some health ones that should be filed with that years tax files and even the receipt ro my current lawn mower bought in 04. Took me all night to finish that and I do want to get that job done so it's my next step.
