Wow, Bubblegum, you are one productive lady! smile

Way to go, Diana. Good job on finishing up project 1 for Christmas!

I went to church yesterday, then rested while DH coughed a lot, I keep inquiring whether he should see a Dr. He has had this cold for a long time.

Then we spent the day watching NFL football games and ate dinner. I also labeled photos. Cleaned up the kitchen and loaded the dishwasher. Took care of my new dog and played w/ him. He has issues from probably some mistreatment by previous owners. Which I have no idea but only can surmise by what he reacts to in fear.

Dianaro - Thanks - I thought so too.

Karalin - Great to hear youv taken in a rescue dog. My last three were rescues. It takes a while for them to relax down and for us to work out what went on in their last home but it soon all comes together like a jigsaw. Our dog hated work boots, and it was obvious he'd been kicked at some point in time.

I didnt get the bedroom done today, I had a mountain of ironing todo, including the clean bedding, so I'll have to do that tomorrow.

Iv had to make and cancel various appointments for Dads hospital visits so all over the place with that.

Very bitterly cold here today, so Im in four layers of clothing, with a blanket over my legs as we speak, thats with the heating on full blast!

Got some good news through, I dont need to pay for prescriptions, dental work etc, so I can claim back the money Iv spent on a prepaid prescription certificate you can get in the UK.

Purdy Bear-Sorry to hear that you didn't get your room done as you would have liked. That's good to hear about shelter dogs, I was leery of even putting my name in for the breed I would be looking for as I just wasn't sure what I would end up with. I had been surprised by a pure bred puppy years ago when the pup was 2 1/2 weeks old after not every having a dog during my marriage. So it was fun receiving that puppy and raising him with all my children. Sadly he was injured and I had to put him down after a valiant fight with the Vet to save him.

Anyway, this new dog I think was sent from Heaven, and glad to not have to go through the potty training and such. Although, sort of miss the new puppy smell and soft fur.

Otherwise, he is a sweetheart. Not as assertive as my other one, but in a way that is good. He loves the Grandchildren and never barks in the house. Outside is a different issue...lol!
So I don't know if some abuse went on with barking or not.

Today, got a load of wash done, not much else. I'm working on summing up the energy to give my dog a bath. His first bath worked out great, as if he had it done quite often. My other dog would whimper...which was so funny to be such a whimp as he loved to be sprayed by the garden hoses. Go figure...

Purdy - Excellent news on the money save on prescriptions smile

Yesterday - I started my assignment for college this one is on managing behaviour within a classroom, and I have lots of examples to use lol. I also did a load of laundry and sorted through some paperwork.

After we had picked DS up from nursery we all went to meet my dad and aunt for an early dinner.

This morning I have been to the post office to pay the rent and post my ebay parcels. I have sat down and checked our finances for the rest of the month and I have vacuumed the groundfloor. I have just mopped the kitchen and downstairs toilet, and will now go and do the living room.

It is only 9.30am here so have a great and productive day all!

Karalin -- Your dog sounds like a sweety. I have yet to bath mine, and I dread it - his a real wiggle bottom so I think wont stand still and take it. He'll become a escapolist me thinks.

Karen - Thanks, it means Im £10.40 a month better off.

Today Dad wasnt well so I got the Dr in, she thinks he might be a muscle pull or a cold lingering around. Paracetamol and keeping an eye on him, if it doesnt improve he'll have to go for blood tests.

I did a blizt downstairs, and vaccumed through, so Im resting now. I hope to change the beds this afternoon.

Way to cold this morning. Me and the dog a letter down the post box and that was too far. smile His asleep next to Dad in the warm now.

Hi All:

I am going to jump on this one to for my daily productivity.
Keeps me going!

PRODUCTIVITY

Tuesday is my usual day to clean the house, today I decided to spend an extra ten minutes in each room to see what I could find to toss as I went along.
Completed tasks:
Dusted and Vacuumed: Diningroom, Livingroom, Guest bedroom, Den
Laundry: 4 loads and put away.
Prep items for dinner and double cooked vegetables and wild rice for dinners later in the week.
Cleaned kitchen, ran dishwasher, emptied and put away..oh the joy of every dish clean.
De-dog haired the couches – thank God for my Dyson!
Shredded a 13 gallon size garbage bag of papers.

Juju, I like that "de-dog haired the couches" LOL. I did that too the other day.

Well, yesterday was very cold out, I stayed in and worked in the office, made good headway. It warmed up a bit(maybe 20!) so I walked the dog. Made two pots of soup, one beef, one chicken.

Laura came over to use my food processor, her dad was sent to emergency for a breathing problem. Hopefully he is ok. My aunt is coming home today also.

Went to sit down and the carbon monoxide detector went off and wouldn't stop blaring. I took it outside, and it was still beeping. Pulled the battery and replaced it, brought it in and it was quiet. Wouldn't go to sleep thinking it was maybe defective and I wouldn't wake up. (I'm such a worry wort) So I literally had about 2 hours sleep last night.

Bought a new one this morning and everything is ok. I have "buttoned up" the house so much, now that is is nice and warm and draft free, I thought I maybe tightened up the house too much.

Am coloring my hair at the moment, so will take a few minutes more in the office straightening up also. Already wasted most of today on the phone.

Waterlady - I hope you catch up on your sleep.

Purdy - Fab news it does not sound a lot but every penny counts at the moment.

Well I mopped the living room, then went upstairs and did the bathroom floor.

The girls came around for a catch up and a brew for a few hours. After they left we had lunch then DS and I snuggled on my bed watching a dvd. Two hours later we woke up wink

I have dried this mornings load of laundry and it has been put away too. The kitchen is straight all sides are clean and I have washed the dinner dishes.

It is time to relax now night ladies!

Waterlady: You know the de-dog haired is the "technical" term HA - oh, you laughed because you are in the same boat! HAHA

Wasn't at top speed today but still got a fair amount done. Went out and got all my errands done because the weather is suppose to turn wicked here tomorrow.

Did get last load of washing and ironing is complete, staightened house and starting eye-balling the piles in the garage for attack next week when the weather is suppose to be not so cold. I can only stay out there so long when it is cold. Did gather some items for ebay and matched up boxes for shipping. Starting polling some friends to see if they are interested in some items before they leave the house. I don't care were the stuff goes, but it is leaving this house and will add to my "toss list". [I think the 2012 challenge is my new obsession - but that's a GOOD thing]

I plan on hitting some projects hard tomorrow since I will be home all day. I do better when I can hit it first thing early in the morning and plow on through. When I come back from running errands it is hard to get fired up again.

Hope everyone is doing well!!
