Cleaned the 2 bathrooms, tidied and swept the family room, dusted and swept the living room & dining area again, tidied up the kitchen, washed the sofa covers, etc. Family came over to lunch, and stayed to tea. Having a relaxed evening; but need to put away laundry.

Went for another walk with DS and the dogs, then browsed food blogs and made a big pot of lentil, sausage, vegetable soup and doughnuts for dessert. DH did a load of laundry. I've been working on the pile on the dining room table for the last hr...finally finished off the rest of holiday/new yr. cards to put out in the mail tmorrow.
Tmorrow have a dr's appt and other that that, no big plans. Hope to get in some exercise (and productivity during DS' nap). So much to do, so little time!

Bless, are you enjoying your new wood floors and furniture? Do you use a Swiffer type unit or a broom? I keep hoping you'll post a photo as we are considering a similar change over...until we start fretting about disruption and how to store furniture on the patio...it will surely blizzard.

It was cold out yesterday, so skipped the garage cleanup.
Did some PUPA in my bedroom, put the laundry away.
The "lovebirds" (LOL) called and they had been away all weekend looking for a site for the wedding, so they decided to stop and have me make them something to eat. Took a quick run to the store, then we ate and had a great time planning more for the wedding.
We then decided to open the hope chest in the garage and find Mom's wedding gown (and mine). Hallelujah, they were both still very intact, as well as everything else. DD tried on mom's gown, (I cried my eyes out) and it fit. It looked stunning on her as well. (think extreme retro) We think we will cut the bodice (?) off the dress and make an evening jacket out of it for her to wear the night of the affair. (which may be outside) We then laughed as she tried on my gown, which also looked great, but was a totally different style.
Then we rearranged the LR, it looks much bigger now. Not sure I like the placement of the TV, but I will live with it a few weeks and see. They went home, I cleaned up, saw Laura and collapsed.
Today I am helping Laura empty out her Dad's apartment. Got some calls this morning for work too, TYG.

Fleur - Thanks for encouragement This morning I changed the four beds (including 1 dog bed), had a rest then did half an hour in the bedroom. It was spent sorting more paperwork. Iv emptied one tote box completely and order some old shoe/boot boxes for my projects to go in. In the afternoon I took the remaining bag of paperwork and sorted that out so I just need to put the piles into with that already sorted. I found some invoice back to 2007 so they can go in the burning. I also managed to write up and stick in some recipes to my current book. Its not all for me, but whoever gets them after me, so I include anything that sounds good. Today it was walnut and oat apple crumble - sounds very yummy (made just like a normal crumble with oats and walnuts mixed with the normal topping). I do feel Im making progress but very slowly. I want to get a chair in the bedroom infront of the desk so when I start my courses I can sit there and study.

You all are doing a wonderful job!!
We had a great party! DD#2 was surely blessed. She had 13 friends show! Lots of laughs and fun! Seemed to end pretty quickly. May have to do something sometime to just have some play time. When I can sit and enjoy conversation with the other parents! DH couldn't make it, but the others moms were extremely helpful. So blessed.
Been cleaning up from the party for the past few days while we've been in and out and resting. Since today was her actual bday, I kept the decorations up. Just trying to keep the rest of it tidied.
I think I need someone to give me a new deadline for completing DDs room. Right now I've switched to veg mode and it's hard to come out of it!
Hope you all have a great day! Cya!

Sometimes you need a break Wendy for a day or two. You will get out of the vegg mode.
~~~~~~~~~~~ I did some branch work, cleaned out one of the files and will shredd them a little at a time. Also worked on some valentines before my friend called and went to meet her for lunch. So nice to see the old town, and all the changes. Love visiting with her.
Waterlady, so neat to hear of ur dd trying on ur and ur mom's wedding gowns. What a special time this is.
Very lazy day here....not even sure what I did for 3 hrs prior to dr's appt. Went grocery shopping afterwards and caught up with 3 friends on the phone during ds' nap. One of them is going to stop by for an overnight visit next wk. so I now have an excuse to get the house company ready again.
Think we'll go for a walk before it gets dark. Tmrow tied up with activities until nap time so have to coordinate to-dos around that.
