The only mistake is to not start! Remember your baby steps and just pick something.

My main goal is to spend quality time with my DH. After a long talk with DH we both agreed that while it is wonderful to have such a close extended family, we do need to focus on us as a couple and family unit more. We also need to make sure we both have time to ourselves individually.

At the moment DH is coming last due to my long list of "should dos" and when he does have free time we are often driving across county to visit others. So we are reducing that to some extent.

With that in mind here are my family goals:

*Date night with DH is to be reinstated - I can't even remember the last time we had one, which tells me I am definitely doing the right thing making our relationship my focus.
*Visit granddad once a fortnight rather than once a week - he can come to me the other week when DH is at work so he will not lose out on any time with us.
*Visits to the in-laws will be once a week and like with granddad I will ring them midweek to check on them.
Obviously if the family need us we will be there we will not abandon them. However we will be asking for them to visit/call us as well instead of it always being us to do that.

Health Goals
*I start the new year 14 lbs heavier than last January so I definitely need to work on that. I plan to focus on eating more healthily rather than dieting.
*I also want to increase my exercise as since I started college and volunteering I have not really walked anywhere

House
*Continue with the decluttering
*Work on a master list of jobs that need doing

That is it for now. HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone and good luck with your goals smile

I am actually a few pounds less than what I was last January; however, I need to work on that this year. I've got a graduation to prepare for by December. I too want to increase my exercise and continue with decluttering. My daughter and I are planning on having yard sales in the spring since I am no longer working. Happy New Year everybody!
