ROTM for January......hhhmmm!

2fold for the month.
1. get all holiday stuff down and packed and stored in one place
2. Office-get new files set for new year and set up new file system that incorporates SO in everything.

I have the decorations off the tree. I sprained my wrist at work on Christmas eve so am in therapy and am taking it easy with that. Not bad enough to miss any work, just have to wear a brace while working, thank goodness it is my left one and I am a righty.

Taking a break from the rest. All boxes are upstairs and will get them packed before SO comes home so he can carry them down for me.

Have started packing up 2011 papers as I picked up some bankers boxes yesterday for that. Also used one of them for all the gifts I have already purchased (at 90-95% off) for next year's gift giving and have everyone done except for DB and SO, well over $250 for around $20, and they are really cute things too.

Have the company holiday party tonite and work tomorrow so not pushing today....laundry is in washer, dishes are drying and I am evaluating the files as to what is needed for the coming year....want to have the desk cleared today, or at least a good dent made.

Also with packing the gifts I purchased for next year and boxing them up so they are all in one place, the dining room table is clear too. I also put my holiday music and movies(both in their own storage boxes) back in the top shelf of the coat closet til next year.

Wow BL that is impressive is right. I have things I had purchasedi n the past and never gave I am going to use up this upcoming christmas. May as well. My problem is to put it all together in one area. Now I have some up and some downstairs, and that is why I missed out on gifts. Hoping to give much away this year.

I need to do my files, and hopefully can get to them tomorrow sometime.

The Christmas bins and trees are downstairs. I took the
outside stuff down and put them in the garage for now.
Found a soap dispenser I can donate also. It is gold, and my fixtures are pewter color. When they were brass before I redid the baths, it was fine. WAY past the time since it has been redone.

Dianaro, get them all in one place, that is why I put them into the box. They will go on the shelf in the laundry room covered and this way I won't forget about them.

I made file folders for the bankers box and filed most of the pile that was sitting on the pulled out file drawer in the desk. Never ended up pulling out the files after all.

Laundry is done. Kitchen is done. Dining room is done. did not get the rest of the down and packed, but guess what ....they will be here tomorrow! I did manage to shred/toss about 150 pieces of paper....after sorting through them. Also set up the file to pay the bills and will get that done after work tomorrow.....I can see the top of my desk now!!!

Decided on a day of pampering myself. Gave myself a hair coloring, a manicure and a pedicure, and though not great, the manicure will suffice for the party tonite.

By the way, just wanted to let you guys know all the good news.....irs accepted my offer so I can get all those papers filed. Also because of the demotion, looks like I will be getting the loan modification-currently in a trial period til April, then they send me the papers to make it permanent.

AND, SO is not SO anymore. He gave me a pair of gorgeous diamond stud earrings for Christmas, then showed up at home on the 30th with a ring!!! Though we are not setting a date any time soon, I have a stunning ring set now. When I looked at it, I commmented that it was a wedding ring set to which he replied, No, it is a ring......a how long can I live here and how long can I keep my boat in your garage ring?.....to which we both stood there and laughed. His mom was not amused with that comment but I told her to lighten up. She also had pulled me aside on Christmas Eve & thanked me for what I had done for her son(told her he has done it for me too) and that she was glad I was a part of his & their life.....great holiday !! smile

So now its off to take a nap before the party as I will be up late and have to be out the door by 415am to work tomorrow.

Colin Anderson my beautiful new grandson was boen at 1:20 p.m. weighing 6 lbs 12 oz. and 19 inches long. Baby and mommy are doing fine. I'll try and post pictures later. TYG DD only had a few pains and not hard ones and he just popped out. So different from last time. He loves his grandma Cindy holding him. He tried to hold his breath and I hated his color but he seems to have gotten over that. At least I pray he has.

So that means tomorrow I need to get my butt in gear and get DF's 90 birthday party done. I have my plan of attack so hopefully things will go as plan. Otherwise I'm up a creek.

Right now I'm wearing out. I've been stress all day and now it's finally over. I think I'll finish my beer and crash.

Cindy
