We knitted an afghan for a lady that is turning 99 today!
I was a little disappointed when I saw the work being done (color wise), but with the trim they used to finish up the afghan, it looked wonderful! She loved it and that is all that mattered. I brought a tiara for her to wear at the party!


Start making up your goals for next month! Maybe we can have a record year in completing a good amount of them in 2012!

Today I am filled with gratitude after attending MsClient's funeral. I learned so much about dementia from her. I am not afraid to grow old anymore. I know there will be good people to take care of me. I picked up her belongings at the NH today because the family did not want to do that. I donated her clothes to the Thrift Store and the TV went to Restore. Everyone must have brought her candy because I tossed a lot of it due to not knowing how old it was. We had lunch after the funeral at her favorite restaurant. I am so thankful I knew her. Tomorrow night DH and I will raise a toast to her at dinner. RIP dear friend.

Frugal hugs she sounds like she was one special lady.

Bushlady and Diana - DH excelled himself with the family buffet. Hmm now I know what he is capable of I will not be listening to his excuses for not helping.

Family buffet tea went well and everyone had left by midnight, so I was able to clean up the kitchen before bed.

I have spent the evening with my three closest friends tonight. A lot of laughter and quite a lot of wine and junk food too. Oh well the new year is around the corner and healthy eating will definitely be a goal. Until then I have one more day left

Frugal, I've known some special people with dementia, too, including my Mom.

I have a book entitled "There's still a person in there", and that title is so true. I know that the people who cared for Mom knew her in a different way and loved her for herself, complete with dementia, just as you must have loved your client.

Well another year has passed, and we did wonderfully, I think.
Going to leave this up today, but will start the New Year right on Sunday. We did wonderfully this year, I believe!

Dec. Goals Update:

I was able to accomplish all but one of my goals! I still haven't written my holiday cards! Oh, well. I guess they are going to be New Year cards, then!
