today i swept/scrubbed the floors in there. i haven't put the rugs back b/c i'm waiting til after i rehang the globes (they're air drying as i type

today i spent 70 min reading the cosmo and knitted for about 40 min while listening to motivational tapes

Been cleaning out dresser drawers this week. Bought some new pjs for myself and am tossing some older ones. (My christmas gift to me!).

Just have to do some vacuuming today/tomorrow and the house will be done. Will set the table and buffet on Christmas eve.
Don't trust Sylvester in "checking things out on the table" for me.

I'm officially off work until January 11th. YIPPEE me!

I made the Kindle cover for my mom with the fabric that I found in my stash, but I don't think I like how it turned out so I'm going to make another one tomorrow.

And, here it is December 22, and I have yet to wrap a single gift so that is on my agenda for tomorrow too.

This Santa-girl is going to be busy in the workshop.

Still waiting for the two things I ordered for DD to get here. I surely hope they arrive in time for Christmas morning. If not, I guess it will be OK because I already gave her the camera and these are things that she doesn't know about.

All of my Christmas cards went out already, not the handmade cards that I usually do each year, but that's OK. The tree is up and is decorated with white lights and that is it. No ornaments are hung on it and they aren't going to be. I am not stressing one bit this year in regards to Christmas. If it happens to get done, then great, and if it doesn't, then that's OK too. All of this stuff is just "fluff" anyway.

DD and I are planning to do something different this year with the family when they get here. We are going to play some Minute to Win It games. She's picked out several for us to try, and I think it's going to be a barrel of fun for all of us.

i have changed the goal of spending 1/2 hr 3x/week to 15 min/day b/c i used to dread cleaning days

I didn't put maintain sanity on this month's goal list, but I should have. I think I nearly missed swinging from the light fixtures a few times, but things have worked out on the whole.

Now, tomorrow might be a challenge! : ) How I admire those of you who have most things done in spite of very busy schedules.

Anyway, a lot of goals did get met, and it has been great that I got our cards off early enough that people knew where to send to us. I doubt more than a couple made it to our old address.

I'm excited about our Christmas here! And I pray that even those of you who have good reasons to feel reserved about Christmas this year, will nevertheless be surprised by feelings of peace and well-being, and have the joy of family and friends around.

fri i read for 30 min in my new book. never got to the 15 min/day goal as i had a meeting to go to. it was good getting out.
