Darlene: Lucky kiddies with these buns. Goodness woman, that is one heck of a long list!!!!!!!!
Bless: Great going on the shopping.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I took the booklets and calendars over to the Center. Brought a pin to my DSIL, that matched her earrings from the other night, now she has a set!
Have a couple of things to do, and then will sit down for the evening.
Pretty quiet day awaiting me I hope. Have the last of the house to ETE and might have to drive DS2 to pick up his car from repair. Not much else happening until tomorrow. Good need the day before to rest. Tomorrow will be very busy.
How are you all doing?
Had friends drop by for a visit, yesterday evening, and when they left, I just relaxed and lounged around! Will need to make up for it, tonight!
JDIs for today:
- finish up reports at work - time sheets - tidy desk - bank - put gas to car - put up Christmas tree - decorate - shop if there is time (if not, will need to do some shopping tomorrow!) - write cards - help DD finish assembling her bed
My list looked long yesterday but remember that it was a 2 day list. As of noon today, the list looks like this -
- paint FR walls and ceiling with DH - go to bank and grocery store - prep for sticky cinnamon buns and other baking projects - clean out fridge - laundry - bake cinnamon buns (1 "batch"), angel food cake (from a mix), and banana choc chip muffins - finish wrapping presents - more PUPA in LR and kitchen - usual daily ETE - fill, run and empty d/w as needed - other projects?
For this afternoon, my plan is - (potentially in this order) - wash dishes - fix and eat lunch - mix bun dough for cinnamon buns - go to the store and bank while the bun dough is "proofing" - roll out cinnamon buns - make banana choc chip muffins (if I don't get the muffins done, the bananas are going in the trash) - clean out fridge - kitchen clean up - empty kitchen trash can - wrap presents (ie drop 3 gifts into gift bags and add tags) - fill, run and empty d/w as needed - kitchen ETE - maybe assist DH rearranging furniture in the basement (if we don't do this today, tomorrow we can probably recruit help from our adult kids)
Looking good Darlene! You still have some things to do. Sure, let the kids help with the furniture in the basement. Earn their food! LOL
Bless: You are doing great too. Glad to hear you actually sat down yesterday!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Have the chargers on the tables, tomorrow I will put the chairs that are needed, and do what I need to finish up.
Took DS2 to pick up his car. Ironed and finished two cross stitch items I had forgotten to do, only have 3 more to finish for the year. Better get going.
Made some cookies. One of the neighbor girls came over with some cookies and a thank you note for their little gifts I gave them.
Time to relax now.

End of day update - - wash dishes (done about 3 times, at least once more to go) - fix and eat lunch - mix bun dough for cinnamon buns - go to the store and bank while the bun dough is "proofing" - roll out cinnamon buns - make banana choc chip muffins (if I don't get the muffins done, the bananas are going in the trash) - clean out fridge - kitchen clean up - empty kitchen trash can - wrap presents (ie drop 3 gifts into gift bags and add tags) - fill, run and empty d/w as needed - kitchen ETE - maybe assist DH rearranging furniture in the basement
The basement situation sounds worse than it is. There are 4 items that need to be moved - a storage unit, a large office desk, a bulky television and a small desk. DH moved the large desk already. Eventually our current living room furniture will be moved to the basement but we still need the things in the LR! Eventually, we plan on purchasing new furniture for the LR.
Still to do this evening - - kitchen ETE - d/w - stash and dash PUPA - put tags on gifts - prep for Christmas Eve supper

Everyone's busy. Mmmm, cinnamon buns! I made a half recipe of Beaglelady's cheese biscuits this evening and they are yummy.
Yesterday we woke up late and I had to scramble to get to my hair appointment, which didn't get started until about 20 mins. later and then took a long time while the hairdresser and I had a good chat. Ran around doing shopping and hauled back lots of groceries, and DH was looking for me as we had an appointment together in town. Didn't even unload, just went back in.
Did some hand laundry. Got most of wrapping done including an extra present, and in the evening made 3 dozen mince pies.
Today DH went to town alone and I spent 35 mins on the phone with DSF who was in a reasonable mood. Did some more wrapping, then DH returned and we had lunch. Cleaned off a couple of tables and put on Christmassy cloths. Cleaned our bathroom. Fetched the mail. After supper, made the cheese biscuits and cooked up the filling for a tortiere. Too late to bake and cool it now.
Christmas Eve:
Clean up remaining utensils from previous evening's baking, etc. (Dishwasher to be unloaded by DH, his job now) Last minute shopping (food items) DH and I will clean the house, and I will get the bedrooms ready for DS, DDIL and DGD. Make tortiere Prepare stuffing, veggies for tomorrow. Whip cream and pipe mounds onto wax paper on tray and freeze, then put into container in freezer, ready for dessert on 26th Probably find 101 other things to do Go to mass at 5 pm Hope we can chill out the rest of the evening!
Have a great day, everyone, and Merry Christmas!

Saturday Visit MW and JB at the nursing home, bring gifts Visit MH and bring gift Laundry ETE Relaxing with DH Church Dinner at the German restaurant tonight (our christmas Eve tradition)
I need some non holidays items at Walmart but I don't think I want to go near the store today. Not an emergency or I would get them at the grocery store. In cases like that I think it is okay to pay more than get mixed up with the crowd.
