Wonderful job of tossing everyone! I think it's just wonderful how everyone did so well at tossing so much! Great job!

Beaglelady, 2 years already! You have come a long way!

Waterlady, you too....wonderful tossing this year!

Karen ... woooo hoooooo....you made it! And going to school too! Awesome!

Everyone has done great!

I'm planning on starting a Toss 2012 in 2012 for next year...I'm betting we'll have no trouble at all achieving it!

Brought 9 magazines and 3 calendars to the Center .
Also brought a pin to my SIL that matched her earrings the other night. Not counting until the new year, hope to make the amount this year.

Since Sunday:
15 bulky items from the pantry to trash
Jar of apple butter and box of popcorn to niece's mom
Stuffed animal and doll with accessories to niece's house
New Talbot's shirt with tags found during closet clean out to DIL
New infant pants found in a sack of sweaters bought on clearance last winter to granddaughter.

I have only brought a couple of items into the house over the last several months, so I have to be getting ahead just doesn't always feel like it. I think this puts me close to 976 items for the year. Not sure I will get much more out of the house before 2012, but that's okay.

12 issues of a decorating magazine out the door today. Posted on Craigslist as free. First person who contacts me gets the address. I leave them in a bag on the porch. They disappear quickly and with very little hassle. Just posted for another 23 issues of 3 different magazines. I love getting rid of stuff this way. I don't burn gas and I don't have to talk to anyone. smile

I have a hard time throwing away the shopping bags that you get with purchases at some stores. I have quite a collection and it's time to get rid of them. I am putting the magazines and other stuff I am giving away in these bags so I get rid of a bag along with the magazines.

It is so freeing to get rid of those magazines. I had boxes of them at one time. Now I keep a few, but those are going to disappear in the recycling bin at a church down the road.
Might as well help them out, and keep it out of landfills.

Yes, that is a good solution with the bags going along with the magazines. WHOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO!

The tossing continues....although 3 things made it into the house (they were in the plan for almost a year and cost less than $50 total), a lot more things went out the door.

The new over the hood microwave got installed Monday by SO and his best friend.....so to the street was the old one.....gone in less than five minutes! All the packing to the curb too. Donated the tabletop one that was no longer needed to a friend who's own one just died.

Had a small birthday celebration to attend on Saturday and used up 5 items from the pantry for a nice snack/appetizer. Wrapped and gifted out a few items from the "stash" shelf to get them out of the house. With the install of the microwave, I had to empty the overhead shelf and "gifted" a few of those items to the doante pile, baking dishes,etc...another 8 items.

Added several more things from closets and drawers to the pile as well.

Today is an office day and know I will be doing a bunch of tossing in there as well.

new total 3085
