Keeping things in order here. Off today but have an appointment at 1(hour drive each way) and dentist at 5 so budgeting the time in between the appointments.

Doing laundry and hair color right now. Bill paying is on the list for this mornig and then filing of the paid bills. Going to ups store to fax things to irs this morning and to send them originals of what I have faxed in an effort to finally get the stuff done. Tomorrow is the 2 yr anniv of the divorce and I still dealing with things from that marriage. Here's to hoping 2012 will finally see the end of it.

Living, dining, kitchen, and baths are all in good shape. Just need to wash bath rugs and that will get done friday. Master bed linen is going in wash in the next hour and then quick sweep and dust and that room is done too. A quick sweep and dust throughout and house is good. Need to quick vacuum in basemnt too. Kitchen and bath down there are also done.

Need to wrap gifts and then can clear that out of the dining room. Office still need lots of work but is looking better thatn it has since I moved in here 3.5 years ago and will continue to get better. guest room is done except for the donate pile in there. Plan on finishing that this week....will inventory all items, box up and put in laundry room along with all the stuff that SO has in the corner of the basement to donate too.

For the first time in years, I am feeling pretty good about the progress....just don't ask me about the garage and the laundry/storage room....that will be the 2012 projects!!!

I hear you on the 2012 projects! Started today by sorting thru some magazines for recycling. Doing my bedroom clean up, and vacuuming. Hope to continue in a couple of rooms each day.
Want to finish wrapping and bake some of those biscuits!
Will let you know how they turn out.

So glad we are continuing with the whole house cleaning. Will make it such a nicer holiday, until the presents are opened!LOL

The house was given a once over, over the weekend. Living room and dining area dusted and decorated; bathrooms swept and one bathtub scrubbed; family room tidied; bed sheets washed & bed remade; kitchen cleaned & stove top/under the burners scrubbed; laundry done.

DD assembled over half of her bed - she will finish the rest later this week (she's at a friend's house today and tomorrow).

I am planning to do another babystep or two in the closet switching, this evening.

Got ambitious and vacuumed the craft room also. Just the hallway, and the other end of the house (kitchen, dining room, breakfast room, laundry, and family room.

Didn't realize I hadn't posted here for a few days!

Well, Christmas eve went off well, and we had a lovely time.
Christmas day I kind of vegged and then cleaned up during commercials! Still more to do, but not as tired as on Christmas.
The house was clean and in order and looked wonderful.

Hope everyone had a great christmas!

Yes Diana, I feel the same way about the bathroom and kitchen, probably why it's such an ingrained part of my routine!

I dusted and pick up all around on Friday and Saturday morning, was also able to put the rest of the summer clothes away when I was rumaging through the closet for something nice to wear on Christmas day. The shelves over the appliances and closet can wait until the right branch... I'll continue with daylies for the rest of the week, that will be enough for me, working evenings until Thursday. It's the week I sleep more hence less time to do cleaning and chores!

You did a big overhaul the past few months Bubblegum. Isn't it nice to NOT have that facing you? Love the branches and how you can get so much done in a week once the clutter is out of the way.

I still have clutter, but nothing like years ago, but now I want even less and that is my goal for this year to really cut back, use what I have, or donate it!

I gave the whole house a quick clean, yesterday, before my houseguests arrived.

DD is assembling her furniture - she did all 3 chests of drawers yesterday (each is a different size) and will do the 2 bookcases today. Once they are in place, we will put her things away and I will be able to put some order in the 3rd room! That room has been transformed into The Dump, with all the homeless items piled there!

Speaking of clutter - everything seems to be piled 3 deep and 6 high, in my house, right now! Sigh.
