So I started going thru some stuff in the dining room... I have 2 large plastic containers along the wall and happened to open one up to try and clean up some stuff and found stuff in there from the last time I did this. blush So I guess now I need to go thru this container and the one on the table.

At least the one on the table is much smaller. Not sure if I'll have much time over the next 2 weeks as in laws are coming to visit but I am hoping that maybe I can fit in some time here and there. I don't think anyone is staying with us so that will help and since DS's still have swim at 4:30 am everyday who would want to?

So far I have one present wrapped, need to obviously do more in this dept.

DD assembled the coffee table and started on her bed. Half way through the bed assembly, we decided to buy ourselves an electric screwdriver. The assembling is going much faster with its help, now. smile

I did a quick clean & tidy of the whole house over the weekend and some focused deep cleaning.

Plumber did some repairs, I now have 2 functioning showers and a flowing drain; I deep cleaned one of the tubs after he finished the work.

Living room & dining area were dusted and decorated for Christmas. Family room was tidied up. Kitchen was cleaned and the stove top/under the burners scrubbed.

Good going Bless. You won't regret the new screwdriver. DS2 gave me one a couple of years ago, for myself and his use here! LOL

House sounds all ready for your company. Good going to both you and DD!

Turn it Up:
You have a big problem with your dining room, like I have with my basement. LOL Just keep at it that is what I am planning.

Diana, the funny thing is, the company showed up, albeit for a brief visit, yesterday, while we still have boxes (the chests of drawers and bookcases) piled up on the living room floor and the bed parts strewn all over DD's room! laugh They called and asked if they could come over for a minute (they were at my cousin's across the street) and I said yes.

I had just stripped my bed and put the bed sheets to wash, so my bed wasn't made up yet (was going to make the beds with the same sheets once they were done). The 3rd room bed was piled up with the clothes I had removed from the closet when emptying it out. But it was OK! I just closed the doors to the 3rd room and my room, and said excuse the boxes while they stepped over them to get to the sofa and served them tea in my best china cups! laugh

So yesterday evening I spent some time going thru my stuff in the container on the dining room table and am happy to say that I'm about 75% done with this. I even shredded the papers with info no longer needed and filed others in a folder. Still need to go thru some misc papers and file them but I can now see the finish!

Then after I finish this there will be a few things left that will need to be put away etc and my table will be done. My plan is to keep one small container (only if I can't keep up on a daily basis) on the table for things and then one day a week go thru it.

The past couple days have not been productive at all. Did manage to get SO's sons bedding washed and a quick vacuum downstairs.

Off tomorrow so the plan is as follows

Make bed in the basement room for son and do a quick once over....should take all of 15 to 30 mins.
Make biscuits
Make praline style almonds(way cheaper than pecans this year)
wrap all gifts and get stockings stuffed too
once over in house
put away the paperwork in office, and pay a few more bills

With loan mod and irs stuff moving in the right direction, I do believe I will be starting 2012 in the best place I could be in . Feeling confident that once this is behind me, then I can get the new biz going. I have been afraid to do anything with it since there could have been repercussions with the irs stuff.

DD finished assembling her bed, last night! Wooooo Hooooooo! Now she needs to assemble the 3 chests of drawers and 2 bookcases and we'll be in good shape! laugh

Once her room is set up, I can go about reclaiming the rest of the house!
