Thank you ladies. I am trying to get lots of rest and SO has been a big help.
Unfortunately got a surprise when I got home from work yesterday....seems with the extreme weather change, I have a new roomie, four legged that likes the kitchen trash can, esp the peanut butter cup wrappers that were in there. SO told me he will pick up a new trap on the way home. If it works as well as it did the last time, by bedtime tonite, it will be back to the 2 of us!
As far as office stuff, havent started but will be doing things in there tonite, between dental appts tomorrow and after meeting with the accountant on Thursday.
Trying to get as much rest as I can.
Sorta cool last nite, on food channel was watching diners drive ins and dives, a show that travels the country evaluating restaurants, and they showed ones that I pass all the time on way to get DB, coincidentally 2 places SO and I want to go to. After watching the episode(filmed here in August), it is definitely on the splurge list(will let SO treat!!)

How fun BL about the diners, etc. Let us know when you and SO get there and what YOU think of the food.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Goodness with my mind to a new Master list, I have been mentally evaluating things as I come across them, and still have way too much, and partly due to the fact I have more time with being a GONer, and have to par down big time next year!
I have started planning what decorations will go after christmas as my first step. I already have some in mind, that are in the basement now, and I chose not to use this year or ever! Look out GW. I had thought to have a garage sale, but want the stuff out as quickly as possible.
Also have some books packed to take to half price books. Whatever money I get is going to be fine, along with the space I will acquired.
I have some craft magazines. Going to go thru those, keep the patterns I want and then recycle them at the church down the road.
Now to just do this after the holidays. I think I have my first quarter of work planned! LOL
So yesterday evening, I had planned to spend some time going thru things in the dining room. Well it was decided that I would take DS2 to basketball and DH would pick him up which is fair enough to me. Then when I got home I wanted to get in my 30 mins of walking on the treadmill but DS1 asked for some help on his homework with the pc so I worked with him first before exercising. Of course if I went to the rec center to do this I would not get interrupted but then it would also take longer so I prefer doing this at home. I also try to watch something I missed on tv so that's always nice too. A few minutes into my walk, DH comes in the room to say he fixed what DS1 and I were trying to do on the pc for his homework... well if it's fixed then couldn't it have waited... I so dislike to have people come in and talk to me while exercising. Anyways when I finish, I checked the assignment again and it wasn't working, I don't know what DH did but it wasn't right. So the next hour or so was spent trying to get this right. We need to upgrade our software which may be part of the problem. Right now we are using a trial version and I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it or not. I really wish if the school/class assigns a project that they would at least provide the materials needed at a discounted price. So by this time I was tired and worn out and had no interest in doing any organizing, so I cleaned up the kitchen and went to bed. And this is kinda typical for how things go, I usually have good intentions and then almost always something else gets my time and attention and whatever I wanted to do once again doesn't happen. So I'll try again today and tomorrow, Thursday is busy with a school function and Friday there's a swim meet and I really thought I was going to have some extra time.
Turn It Up: That can be very frustrating, but short of being less available to your family, I don't know what you can do.
*****************
I put away the washed dishes and table linens, etc., yesterday and took the opportunity to tidy up the cabinets and closets at the same time. Also, swept the floors.
We are expecting the new furniture to be delivered today. Then, DD and I need to assemble them! Once that is done, we can set up the rooms and hopefully, have the place ready for our houseguests!
As far as whole house progress, living room, dining, kitchen and baths are all in good shape. When SO's son was here this past weekend, all laundry came up and was done and basement is looking goo too...other than the corner of clothing sorting for donation by SO. But that is a work in progress and I never look at it unless I am downstairs, which is rare. Master and guest bedroom are also in pretty good shape with the exception of my donation box. That will also get handled between now and the end of the year for write-offs.
Well ....my house is back to just the two of us. Tuesday is trash day so SO took out the bags in the garage and forgot the one in the kitchen....I pulled it when I left for work but did not have time to reline it. I got home about ten minutes before he did. When I went to open the lid on the can, I looked in and there were the little varments, and I do mean little...and there were two. Seems they use the bags versatility to crawl in and out to snack. Called SO in to handle it and he asked what I wanted done....kill them of course! SO looks at them, says they are just babies trying to be warm and fed and not be so mean. So SO takes the can, walks it across the street across the field and let them out in the woods.
He comes back in the house teasing me about evicting the non paying tenants and telling me he told them to send a note as to their new address and that we'd have to get together for dinner.
So I left a piece of food out on the stove just to make sure no other "tenants" were here uninvited and it was still there untouched this morning, so all is well again!
Will be spending the day in the office getting ready for my visit with the acountant tomorrow, other than a consult with the dentist from 11 to 12.
If I get some time, I may just do the stockings and get them hung as well before SO's son comes to spend the night.
So I am planning some progress and some big tossings too over the next 2 days while in my jammies doing paperwork! And since it's supposed to rain today and tomorrow, I have the best excuse in the world for staying indoors!
Hope they don't come back for another uninvited visit, though!  The "assemble-it-yourself" furniture was delivered yesterday. So now, I've BIG boxes all over the house!
Who will assemble it? They only give drawings from what I see on some of the tv programs. Good luck!
