My siblings and I have acquired all kinds of mementos from my mother's estate, including the scrapbooks she established for us as kids. The scrapbooks are really big - probably 20"X20". I really don't want that big of a book as it's hard to store and handle when wanting to look through it. In addition, it's old (yeah, I'm ancient!!) and the backing paper is getting pretty worn out (me, too! LOL). Is putting items in a scrapbook the only option for keeping mementos or do you know of other options?
If this should be on a different forum, please move. :-)
Hi Jeannie! Do you mind if I move this over to the paper forum?
I too took apart my childhood scrapbook for the same reason. I would suggest some of those photo boxes that are about the size of a shoe box for mementos.
Perhaps you could also photograph the pages of these scrapbooks for a digital record, and then keep the parts that you want in boxes, as Kimberley suggests.
