Go Ladies!
Wow, all this energy.

Hey Water Lady, you can come and spend Christmas with me,
I generally need Christmas to rest after Christmas eve!

Been cleaning as I go. Yesterday I did all the woodwork, blinds etc., in the laundry room.

Today I am going to do a PUPAing and ETEing in the bedrooms.
Putting things on the "just for now" list isn't working, only makes things harder. You are right Bless, it is easier to clean when the rooms are clean! LOL

Have a few things to bring up from the basement and will wrap some gifts and put them in the extra bedroom, all wrapped.

Have some receipes to dig out so I can get what I need all at once at the store. I hate when I forget something after shopping! Lists are good! LOL

Had to vacuum the breakfast room a couple more times. The tree kept falling over. Discovered the problem after I took it apart, and am going to use a smaller tree. Lost about 20 ornaments that broke, but my favorites are okay! TYG!

You are all so inspiring!

Finished up the breakfast room, cleared out the dining room, and made my chicken soup, and chicken for the casserole. Found the receipes I wanted. List is made, shopping tomorrow morning before I have class.

Feeling pretty satisfied with how things are progressing along.
Decided that the wrapping can wait until next week, don't need gifts before then. I ordered gifts for my aunts today, and can send something along later in the month if I want.

Got the kitchen, breakfast rooms floors done. Vacuumed the dining room carpeting (still have to mop the wood floors) and cleared off the table, dusted the artwork frames and wine bottles.

Diana, would love to spend Christmas out of town!!

Actually, I don't want to put any stress on DD. Since my family isn't talking to me, it would be unfair for DD to come all the way up here to spend the day alone with me. I have been invited to her boyfriends parent's house but it is too far a drive, and if I took the train halfway, DD would have to leave early to get me back for the last train home. I can't leave Finn alone overnight.

We will all be getting together at my brother's again during the week. Actually, I am glad I'm not doing anything, after more than 35 years of killing myself (I accommodated my family Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the day after Christmas), and now they don't even talk to me!! I'll visit my neighbors and have a calm nothing-to-do holiday. My (ex) family can go scratch!! LOL.

Got nothing done in the house yesterday, today I have two cancellations for work so will try to do some more decorating/cleaning.

I hear you on taking the day off, after so many years of being there for your family. Sorry it has come to that. I know you did more than your share....((((((((HUGS))))))))))).

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Need to finish up the house tomorrow, and get the dishees out for the luncheon here on Friday/Sunday, Will finish the decorating today and tomorrow, and then concentrate on preparing for Friday's luncheon. Will make the casserole Thurs., and just pop it into the oven on Friday morning.
Waterlady: As the song says, "have yourself a merry little Christmas". During those 35 years of accommodating your family, was there anything you wanted to do that you couldn't because you were accommodating your family? If so, then, now is your chance to do them! smile
***********
I didn't do anything housework related, yesterday. I sat in my chair in front of the heater and read for awhile, and then, I dozed for a bit! In any case, there's nothing much to do until the weekend.
Waterlady you have a wonderful time and enjoy not having to answer to everyone.
Bathroom suite is cleaned and the skirting boards and other surfaces have been wiped too.
Downstairs toilet and sink have been cleaned.
The whole house has been vacuumed.
I need to clean some of the windows but the weather is not cooperating and I am very glad of that excuse lol.
Thanks ladies, I am looking forward to not cooking, entertaining for three days.
DB didn't like celery so I would make two dressings, one with, one without. No wine in sauces/two of each. His kids wouldn't eat the regular fare, so they got separate veggies/rice. DSis was gluten free. Everyone got their favorite veggie/dessert. Lamb on Christmas eve, Turkey on Christmas Day and another meal the day after when other DB arrived. You get the picture??
I got the LR scrubbed squeaky clean last night, pulled out the furniture and washed the floors and wiped the underside of the couches. Amazing where dog hair collects. I have hot air heat so the fur blows around if I don't vacuum and swiffer every other day. Love using my damp microfiber cloths on the fabrics, it really picks up the dog hair.
Living room is done except for the daily cleaning now till Christmas. Decorated the top of the EC. I'm hoping my kids are bringing me a new tv for Christmas and I can get rid of the monster Entertainment Center.
Very productive ladies! WHOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
House is all clean only last vacuuming in the family room, and kitchen in the morning. When I cook I can get messy. Opted not to bake, just picked up some fancy cookies to serve for dessert.
Will finish the tree and set the table cloths on the table, and bring out and see if the tablecloths need a pressing.
