I have no concerns that you are up to the challenge Bless.

I have done all different types of furniture assembly and as long as you follow direction sheets, you should have no problem. Also, I found the sofa assembly to be the easiest to do. Just remember USE the directions and you will be fine!!

Last night ended up being extremely productive. Spent some concentrated time in the office, filling a trash can and the shredder in the process. Have a large pile of filing stacked on the drawer it goes into as well. Got everything done for the accountant meeting this morning and the desktop is 70% clear, meaning i have tons of working room. Also reorganized irs and loan mod stuff in the process, corralling them into their own respective files sorted by date.

Still lots of work to do but feel good about the progress made.

to all of you dealing with grief....I agree with Dianaro....allow yourself to feel it when it comes on...this is what makes you a loving caring human being and allows you to be with the rest of the world as well. The tears and feelings are good as the bad memories fade and are replaced with the good ones, bittersweet times that you are able to live over and over again whenever you want. Yes I was teary last week over my dad, and it has been 36 years, but it is all good. The older I get, the more I appreciate those memories.

WHOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO BL! You did great on the office. Good going and paper work is unending so you should pat yourself on the back having it so organized now! Trash and shredding is great also.

Sofas have been set up! DD assembled them with the help of the gardener who couldn't do the gardening because of a sudden, unexpected rain storm! I came home and put on the slip covers.

BL, you were right! DD said they were super easy to assemble! She left the harder part for me to do - getting the slip covers on! laugh

We will tackle the coffee table tonight!

WOOO HOOOO Bless!!!!!! You need to post some pictures to show the end result. I knew you would find it easy....and yes, I agree, the slipcovers are the worst part as they are soooo tight fitting.

My office and house is looking pretty good. Nursing this cold. Went to dr on thurs and am now on 2 different med for the next 10 days. She know a regular round never knocks it out for me so she gave me extra strength and also did blood work for other things too as I haven't been taking other things for the past couple months(self trial to see where cholesterol and thyroid levels go to without pills and with my weight loss). I will know on Monday but she said not to count on getting off either as cholesterol for me is hereditary and thyroid at this point probably won't correct itself(underactive since 16), and I know this and am fine....just self test it every few years!!

Put names on all the stockings last nite and they are now hung on the mantle.....looking great if I do say so myself, with everyone's names on them!!

Office still needs lots of work, but I have almost everything ready for the irs lady for my offer which will go out on Monday, 2 days ahead of the 10 days she gave me to complete.

Bank called and tentative approval on the loan mod. Should be getting paperwork for a 3 month trial payment before they give final approval. Merry Christmas to me!

Planning to come home tonite to make a batch of cheese biscuits for the get-together with SO's coworkers(they are cooking bbq for their Christmas lunch at work this week. SO is getting me directions and I will meet him there when I get out of work tomorrow.

To-dos this week.......once over in the house
wrap presents
get them under the tree
make cheese biscuits-for Sunday and next week for family
work some more in office
get bills paid
mail irs stuff
color hair

Planning on not killing myself as this cold has kicked my butt and even thought we generally go to bed by 7-730(we are up at 2 and 3 to go to work), the past 3 days I have been asleep by 630,so yes ladies, I will take care of myself!!

so I didn't make the biscuits Saturday nite as friends invited us over and by the time we left around 730 it was bedtime for me. I did join the guys on Sunday after work and told them since I was the only woman there, I needed to be the official taste tester.....and omg, was teh barbeque amazing, beef and prok ribs and chicken. We were grilling outdoors with a space heater in the garage and hot chocolate, fun but cold so I left around 3. It was a nice afternoon.

I am off today and will be making a half batch of the biscuits, dental appointments the next 2 days, gifts to wrap, more office stuff, but not pushing anything as I can't ge this cold to break, even with the antibiotics......so I will continue on the list of to do's

hair color just finished
putting 2nd load in washer
butter for biscuits is warming
have already done some filing
getting ready to strip the bed
all the paper is put together to fax when the office store opens at 10

and its only 630am!!

Have an appointment for the new biz at 1, dentist today and tomorrow for a root canal at 5 and will start on gift wrapping at least for SO and son.

Dianaro, I too am going to make the biscuit dough and make a small batch, putting the rest in the fridge for later this week. Trick is to pull it out to warm up so rolling the balls is easier.

Color is done, loads 3 and 4 in washer and dryer, bed is stripped and waiting for dry mattress pad. Have done general cleanup in kitchen guest room and master and hall bath. Getting ready to sit down in office to get irs fax ready to send....just corralling the info I have been going through. My 1pm appt cancelled so that gives me 3.5 hrs of productive time in my own house!!! Yeah me.
