Dianaro, I hear you on the coat issue. I have a below the knee down coat....not pretty but definitely warm for the northern winters. I am in need of a shorter one for work wear as my down jacket from when I moved here is on its last legs.....figure that 5 years for a $10 investment form a now closed retailer is pretty good......how I miss Steve and Barry's and their $10 price tags on everything!!

November goals are pretty basic.
Yard work-its amazing how many leaves 8 trees can create! need to start raking but not motivated today.

House-keep on sorting and tossing. Find/create homes for all of SO's stuff. Empty more clothes and donate to downsize.

@dianaro I don't know if the garlic will produce a sizable bulb if you plant it in the spring. You might want to google it. I don't know if planting in the fall is a midwest thing due to our growing season or not.

Well thanks for your honesty Frugal. I have to get some garlic to plant. Do you freeze the ones you picked? I have it in the cool garage, figured it was like potatos and the cool air is like a storage cellar. This is all new to me. LOL

Tried on the boots and they are perfect. YEA again.

Working on projects for a couple of hours, and then changing to another one. So far it is working and I am completing some small projects!

Hello ladies you are all off to a good start. I am back from the in laws. FIL is home and we have set up a system for medication so hopefully he will continue to improve.

Family Goals
*Get back to visiting my grandad every week. I have not seen him for three weeks as I have been busy with the inlaws. I have managed to ring him everyday and check on him.

*Weekly meeting with my dad - again this got sidelined, but I did manage to meet with him this past Friday so I am getting back on track.

*The mother goal - This is going well as since I started college and volunteering I have not been as readily available. Also whilst I was at the inlaws I did not see her at all, so when she called up Friday she had missed me so much she forgot to be cranky wink I think in her case familiarity definitely breeds contempt. Its amazing how nice she can be when she does not see me often smile

*Check on the inlaws by phone and visit at least twice a week to monitor how well MIL is coping with FIL's recovery and help out as much as I can.

Home and Garden Goals
*Continue to declutter ready for the Christmas influx
*Reorganize storage in the bedrooms
*I want to try to finish the second row of paving slabs as weather permits.

College and Volunteering in School
*First assignment has been done and we have been given our second. So I need to begin researching for that one.
*Continue to volunteer in school twice a week and build up a rapport with the pupils.

Thats it for now.

@dianaro- we do not freeze the garlic. We keep it in a basket on the top of the basement steps. We kept it in the basement and it went bad. It seems the top of the steps is the right place. You can plant a few of the cloves from the bulbs you just picked. That is what I do.

Well the whirlwind weekend is over, and it was fun and enjoyable!

Frugal:
Thanks I have the garlic in the garage, and will plant some more in a pot this week. Great idea for me to plant it where I can keep an eye on it (Back outside porch).

Karen:
You do have your hands full, but are managing nicely.

Bless:
How did the third estimate go?

~~~~~~~~~~~
Spent a lovely dinner with my grandsons, sons and DDIL. It was Grandson's birthday, and I wasn't expecting to treat them, but things changed around and other DS drove me so we could celebrate together! Love those imprompto things some times.
Time to buckle down today and get some branch/ROTM work done.
