If you are having the same kind of heatwave we are having here in MI, then Dianaro, you need to just take it easy.
I worked Saturday and Sunday, DBF grilled steaks filled with blue cheese and crab meat for dinner Sunday, so spent the night there with DBF and his son. Was off yesterday so the 3 of us went to the mall so dad could "teach" his son the fine art of girl watching and hanging out by the escalators too!!! It was sooo funny to watch them and watch his son(age 13) smiling and laughing. I just sort of hung back. I had a $50 gift card to use and treated them to lunch too. Then he treated us to pizza for dinner. Another nice, nonproductive day off.
Helped DBF on his office stuff at my house this morning. It's funny that at 51, he has not been really responsible in doing that kind of stuff for years. My "coaching" him and giving him ideas is helping to pull him together. I keep reminding him that it was his lack of participation in those things and his ex's attitude of ignore it and it will not be there(like my ex.....hmmm) that caused the problems to begin with, and that setting up a new way to deal with it now will make it all the easier. He is listening too and I think its because, in part, of him seeing all the things I have been handling in my own life.
I work late tonite, leaving in a few minutes, but am spending the nite in my house(boys nite over there), so will try to get a few things handled in the office when I get home.
I am going to recommit to the start of the new business. Even though I haven't done a thing yet, I already have 34 people below me. Once my first couple come on board, the business will pay for itself. I know in my heart that this is the road to financial freedom for me, and also the road to having my time to myself again(me dictating my schedule again). I am going to the quartely meeting the last weekend of this month and will get back on track.......gotta get out of the retail job and the headaches and heavy micromanaging involved.

Those of you who are affected by the heat wave - stay cool! I haven't been doing anything much in either of my rooms this month - the shed and the garage - due to a lack of time and the heat. It is not a problem, as such, because there is plenty of space in the garage to park my car and the recycling is bagged and stacked on one side of the shed, with plenty of access to the tools stored there. In any case, my gardener brings his own tools, so the tools in the shed are not needed except when I want to do some gardening on my own, and I haven't been doing much of that due to a lack of time and the heat! How's that for an excuse for not working on my ROTM?

Bless That is a good excuse. My basement can actually be COLD should be down there with all this heat, but I need to do it in the early morning when my energy level is higher. With not being home or running out before 9 I sometimes don't get to do it. I did the past couple of days, just do a babystep, but as we all know, it makes a difference. Things are being put back where they belong, and seeing what I need or want to get rid of.

People let me tell you about the heat wave.......I live in Oklahoma!!!!!
I love have a new computor that works. It's nice to turn t on in the first time. I am wondering if the site is having problems though, It's been acting funny today.
I have been getting lots done. I cleaned all the carpets. Thankfully the stains came out. Sooner will just have to stay outside.
I had the party, We had so much fun. Only problem was two ladies didn;t show up. They had said they were coming, Anyway the ones that came had fun. I have most everything cleaned up from it.
Finished unloading this one building DM filled up with clothes and decoration. It was a small trailer and she's even got it sold. The other building will have to wait a little while. She's have a sale the 6th and we'll see where we are at. I have been getting up early and working in the yard and reading the paper. t's been nice. The morning is the only time you can stand to be outside for more than a few minutes.
Today I'm doing laundry and then I'm going to a birthday lunh. It's at 2 so I won't have to eat lunch or dinner, DM's idea. But it's fine.
Right now I need to go get me ready and find something clean to wear.

Hi all,
2 more loads of dishes are done!
Been trying to take it easy lately, my legs are hurting badly right now (have diffenately over done something, not sure what though). Plus nightmares galore, so been reading the bible and a few other books.
Back to homeschooling DS again as well now.

Cindy Glad to hear your party was such a success. Sorry some ladies missed out on the fun.
You are one busy gal, but relaxing too, which is good. Great that Mom is selling lots of things.
Sarena: Good going on the dishes, and hope you are feeling better. Sorry about the nightmares. ((((((HUGS))))))) and prayers.

So, nots lots of ROTM productivity this week. Got bills paid....will file them tomorrow nite as work til 8 tonight and then going to a 50th birthday party at the local bar where a friend of ours plays classic rock and roll(excellent group) and dancing with my man.
It has been a pleasant 2 weeks with spending lots of time together with him on "vacation"(plant shut down), also spending some quality time with his son too.
Lots of discussions about us. He wants us to take "the next step", moving in together. I of course, would love to, but will analyze it to death. He wants us in his house(school district for son), but he rents and I own. We don't even want to talk about the market here. I would, at this point, have to come to the closing table with a big chunk of money(not an option), so just trying to figure out the pros and cons of all angles. My friend who is an agent, has done sales analysis for me. Have spoken with my mortgage company and also with my accountant as to the pros and cons of renting/selling/letting it go....so analyzing will take some time.
In the process of this discussion is talk of all mine and his belongings and the "discard/donate" process that each of us would have to deal with. I have gone so far as to look in my closet and could part with about a quarter of my shoes and about a third of my jackets and maybe a dozen tees. This all at first look over. Whoaaaa weeeee!
Just a starting process.
Going to work now...working 8 straight since This past Thursday in order to get 3 days off for the conference next weekend for the business. I am excited about the trip as I need to focus and make this happen for me. The day job pays the bills(no extras to speak of), but the micro-managing is killing me and the lack of appreciation for everyone is ridiculous. (send the staff home to cut payroll, oh-3 people called in sick in other departments so you need to cover them, but remember that we cannot have more than 2 poeple in line so you better open another line, even though the people to run those lines have been sent home or to another department....oh and make sure the place is show room ready too....again without staff....and all they want to hear on the walkie is yes, copy, its done)
So I am focusing on the things that will make a difference....continue to declutter....will have me time in office at beginning of week when DBF goes back to work ....and will start on other things as well.

Beaglelady I understand not beingappericated. We are treated that way at school.
I haven't done much the last couple of days. It's just to hot for much. I did get my bills paid and there's some money left and that's surprising after all I've spent. Oh well...
I'm going to supper and a drink with my girlfriend tonight. Then Pottery Barn tomorrow morning. Then lunch with the kids. I do hope they are paying for it since it's my birthday lunch.
I have been getting battery operated candle with timers from PB. I'm in love with them. I'm getting a few more tomorrow. It's so much fun for them to come home in the evening. So much easier than worrying about leaving things burning.
This afternoon I'm going to a program on the Civil War. Even though I don't care for that period in history but it will help me teach it and who knows I might learn to enjoy that period.
