I looked at them again and the designer sent the wrong backer to the printer. :-( They're fine in the meantime but he's going to have new ones made for me. I feel bad because he said he'd pay for the new ones but he was just doing me a favor to start with.

Are they useable?
Maybe there is a favor you can do for him.

They're usable for now but they need to be fixed. Part of our "deal" was fed-exing him some special cookies he asked me to make. I told him I'll send lots of extra!

He's in MINN and I'm in CA so there's not much else I can do, like organize his place.

Not sure if it's the heat, the fact that my other job has been stressful lately or maybe just the summer blahs but I'm in a little bit of a standstill with this. I have a list of things I need to get done for my biz, none of which are very hard, just time consuming.

I have been working my "regular" job from 8am to 3pm (about) lately, pretty much straight through without a lunch break. DD is home for the summer and once I get done with work, I really want to spend time with her. DH and I went out of town last week for 4 days for our anniversary and next week, DD and DD and I will go on a mini 3 day vacation to the SF area. By the time I get laundry, meals, cleaning etc done, I just want to rest these days and it's hard to drag my laptop back out after being on it all day and write website copy or revise contract language.

I know, I know, I just need to DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Kimberly, if you were a client, I'd tell you to shake up your routine. That's the ticket when you are stuck. So, at 8 am, work for one hour on one task on your organizing business. At 9 switch to your other job. That way, if something is leftover, it is your regular job which, since you know it so well, takes less creative effort. That creative umph is hard to find at the end of the day. smile

OH I wish I could! I work those hours because I have specific calls, etc set with clients for my other job. I also need to be reachable on my skype. The job I used to have I could have done that with no problem, this one is less flexible.

I do get your point though and will see what I can change up!

Maybe work on the PO business before the regular job, then? Say 7 - 8 a.m.? After all, this might be the time you'd be spending on the road, commuting, if you worked an office job.

Very good idea Bless but I have my morning routine. DH and I have coffee from 7-7:30 and then 7:30 I get in the shower and get to my desk by about 8.

What I need to do is cut back to 2pm instead of 3pm. I have just been trying to squeeze in another paid hour. There's just not enough hours in the day! ;-)

Once I get the following done I'll feel much better:
Website copy written
Blog started (I set it up, need to write some stuff)
Finalize contracts.

Why not start the blog first. You'll find as you write the blog and describe why you want to organize, what you do and so forth that it will help you with the website copy. smile
