I was able to enjoy some neighbor's fireworks from my screend in. They were beautiful, and no traveling. He shot them perfectly in an area that there was a break in the trees! Looked wonderful. Fortunately the fireworks sounds didn't bother either of the pets. Loud ones sort of looked at me like "what was that?".
Will be taking some time off the rest of the week, and get back to brass tacks next week on the ROTM.

I have a question about decorating for mywine tasting party? I have a Christmas tree decorated with beads and wine oranments and lights. I want to use it but I'm wondering if I use the tree if it'll look strange? I have a wiiden deal I could I could use if you think that would be better. Need help deciding.
I did finish the guest room this morning. Really I discovered I had already finished. Now to the next room which is going to be the party.
I bought wine things to use when tasting wines and now I can't find them. I may need to make more copies. I'm going to go in and if I have to go through the whole sewing room. I want to do it as soon as I can.
Ok I need to start doing that. Wish me.
Cindy

Cindy: I think the decorated tree will be fun.
I had red/white/ and blue serving pieces today, for my party, even though it was the 5th of July, and decorated with my 4th of July stuff. Why not?

Cindy, if your monitor is fine, it may be cheaper to buy another desk top unit, if not, there are some great sales out there....happy shopping.
My ROTM was a whole house with accents on the office and garage. Well the whole house got a good once/twice over and still looks good. The basement has been completely vacuumed and the cheesy indoor outdoor carpet has been stain treated and just need to shampoo it a bit at a time. The office is in maintenance mode, no real progress there.
Garage had a minor cleanup as I did manage a garage sale, only eliminated 3 boxes of stuff, but will be getting rid of more soon.
Even though progress is slow, it is progress. Took it easy this past weekend as it has already been a year with DBF (1yr this past Sat), and it was just us for the weekend.....very very nice!
We have a big graduation party this Sat for which we are cooking quite a bit of things, I will be out of town the last weekend of the month too, so will take July to coast and just maintain and do a bit of tweaking. Thinking that maybe I may want to pare down the business clothes as I don't wear them much now(even though they do fit well.

BL: Great going, you worked hard on the house after your room mate moved out. Good idea to take time off. You must be at a good place now. It's been a busy couple of years.
Sarena: Sorry about the divorce. Hoping all goes well.
