Jazzlady, your "tomato" looks delicious.

Blessmymess, may I ask why you went to the dept. store to pay the bill, instead of either mailing a check or paying online?

A couple of years or so ago, Sears started sending bills due so soon after they arrived that there wan't time to mail them - or it was cutting it close - and their interest rates were outrageous, especially if a payment was late. So a few times I drove to Sears to pay the bill there. That got old real fast, and I told the clerks how annoyed I was about that - a waste of gas and especially, irretrievable TIME.

I still shop at Sears once in a while, less than before because the quality of the merchandise and service both have deteriorated. But I now pay with Visa, even though I had a Sears card for over 30 years, and still keep it, just in case. Because of the CARD act, there may be more time to pay than previously, but I hate to reward a company that has inconvenienced me.

I prefer to pay certain bills in person. smile Today's trip to the dept. store was not a chore - my cousin accompanied me as she needed to do some shopping, so it became family time.

i decided to do some cleaning for the first time since last sun. i dusted the living room and mt bedroom, then swept 1/2 of the hall ceiling. i took another nap then mike got home <yay> i HATE< HATE, HATE when he worksmore than 1 evening and this week it was 3!

Simplicity – Thanks! smile
Today's JDIs
  • worked on my blog
  • laundry
  • made chocolate cake, well, sort of. I tried a new recipe and it ended up becoming more of a science experiment. I am not sure, if the cake turned out the way it's supposed to. The taste is ok, the texture is not. So I better look for another recipe. frown
  • one more step on my wardrobe project
  • ironed 5 pieces of clothing

Did everything on my list except pruning the hedge - my arms and shoulders are still hurting from yesterday's efforts, so, decided to wait on the pruning. Watered the back garden instead.

DD did the 2 loads of laundry for me. smile

Hi
Bless Could your landscaper guy trim that hedge for you? He could follow your lead, and you won't have to stretch and hurt yourself. Just a thought.

Jazz lady:
Hate when that happens with baking. I am sure you will find a suitable replacement for your chocolate cake receipe. There are thousands out there!

Mary:
Glad to hear Mike didn't have to work on Sat.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Had a great time at the tea and the farm. I held a baby lamb!
I also fed some of the other larger lambs. It was so cool!
Being a city gal that was the closest I have ever been to a lamb!
She was sweet and one of a set of twin lambs.
Just vegged yesterday. Celebrated during the week with one child, the other one and I will get together when his wife returns from her trip, and heard from my two girls. It was great and as I told them, they are good to me the rest of the year, so not to worry.
My JDIs for today:
Routine
Babystep
Plant the herbs and tomatos I bought at the farm
Volunteer at library
Get gas for the car
Craft of some sort
Have a great day
