Starting a new part for our JDIs, starting with Kim's posting this morning.

Good Morning...

Was MIA for a few days but still getting stuff done, DH was home here and there and got a few small projects done. Mainly he cleaned out under the kitchen sink, moved the filters around, put a new floor under there and fixed the magnets so the cabinets close...finally!! But now I have lots of space, I tossed a bunch of stuff under there and the cabinet next to it, kept only the small appliances I use, Quesadilla maker, sandwich maker, bread machine, crockpot and kitchen aid mixer so now I can find what I need and have lots more space.

It was a beautiful weekend here, finally and I had the twins outside with me all day yesterday. The were excellent (normally 1 runs in 1 direction and the other in another), but they stayed in the front yard, playing and I was able to weed some gardens and rake. They even helped weed so it was a double bonus. Best part is they took a nap because they were exhausted and we went out again after nap so when they hit the pillow at night, not even a peep....LOL. Guess thats what they need to be outside more, thankfully spring is finally here.

So another busy week, still lots to do before there party so posting another weekly list...

Hi Everyone!

Ahhhhh! My post just evaporated! I gotta start over. I'll make it shorter.

I've been mia for a while too. We took the boys to an Easter egg hunt Saturday which was pretty fun. It was worth the dollar. We might find some for next week too. I have a list stashed.

Today, I am harassing the insurance company. They have until tomorrow, but I am lighting the fire under them today.

I'm still working on camps. Diana, you're right about the rec centers. I am finding that they are more tolerant than I gave them credit for. My deadline is tomorrow, so I have to cut this short.

Diana – I know what you mean about my walk along the Danube sounding romantic. I read about quite a few exotic places here too. Just exotic for me of course. I just walked my standard route along the city's footpaths on the riverbanks. I must have walked that route a few hundred times by now. I don't consider it romantic, but it is pretty and there is always something interesting to see. Yesterday it was all those trees in bloom. So beautiful!

I plan to walk romantic routes again soon as well. I discovered a few awesome places just out of town last summer and fall. By German standards they are remote (i.e. no public transport on weekends).

Yesterday I did go for my long walk along the Danube. It ended up becoming a very long walk, since I forgot my summer jacket in the beer garden. I only realized it was missing when I came home and was reaching into my bag for the keys, that were in the jacket. shocked So I had to walk back to the beer garden to get the jacket. There is no tag on my key ring, so it would have been useless to take them. But of course I was worried anyway. But jacket and keys were neatly hung up at the beer garden's wardrobe for me. Phew!

Since I had walked a couple of miles already and was physically and mentally exhausted by the time I got the keys, I took the bus home and promptly collapsed into a chair at home when I came back. All I did for the rest of the day was chatting with a friend online. smile

Today's JDIs
  • prepared for a meeting tomorrow
  • wrote draft of a letter
  • cooked Gorgonzola sauce, froze two servings
  • some cleaning here and there

Jazzlady

So glad they found your jacket and keys. That was quite a walk!

Kim:
You're welcome.

cocoaknits:
Hope you have some luck for getting the kids into camp.
The weekend sounded like fun for all.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Finished my list.
Got to the grocery store and took the dogs out. Called the library as my back is hurting and walking around for an hour isn't going to help me in the least. Its a volunteer job, and they were happy I called. I didn't know the landscapers would be here all day again, so that was my excuse to the library, and it is true, I need to pay him when they finish. Looks so nice.
Cooked the chicken for the casserole and will piut that together tomorrow.
Well I accomplished nothing else this afternoon, BUT I had a lovely afternoon with my 2 favorite little ladies! We found the cutest Dora dresses for their party, then we shopped for some spring clothes for them and had lunch at Panara Bread, they were so well behaved and such the topic of conversation at Panara. They do generate a lot of attention anyway because I get the, are they twins or are they close in age question all the time. They look very different to others but to me they look a lot alike. But they were talking to everyone and I was one proud Mama when the manager came over to tell me how well behaved they were being.
My biggest baby girl is coming home from Florida tonight, I have missed her so, I cant wait to see her. Shes getting ready to land as I type this and I have to pick her up at the school at 8:30. According to my Mom and Aunts, they were phenomenal at the music festival at Epcot they really stole the show, I am so proud of them all and the choir teacher who works so hard with these kids and never gets the thanks she deserves. I think I will get her something special.
So tomorrows another day, I will get the kitchen painted I will, I will!!!
That is so nice when kids are so well behaved when out in public. Good for you. I always said my kids could misbehave at home anytime before they did in public! Good going on the DDs performance at Epcot, and that you had a fun day out with the girls.
How about the boys putting the file cabinet together, or leave that until after the party. Are there other things that can wait? I do the same thing, want everything done before, but sometimes it just doesn't happen or you run out of energy or time.
My JDIs
Routines
Let out grandpuppies
Afghan assembly
Prepare casserole
Vacuum and mop kitchen floor
Embroidery (Project one)
Drop off card to SIL
Only have a couple of days to take care of the gp. Don't mind have to go out anyhow.
I decided to work on at least one project a day. Use to do that previously thanks to another Goner who taught me that, and somehow forgot about it. So, I am working on embroidering.
I also am preparing for my next project each day. It is a wall hanging I have had for 10 years that I felt too intimidated to do, and it is now or never, and I like it too much for never! LOL
Have a great day.
