I have been bad and I admit it, I haven't been on in 2-3 days, and I have let my house slide all week because of so much going on at school.

Tomorrow's list:
-upload some pictures
-dust living room
-sweep/mop floors
-laundry
-bathroom
-take out garbage

Put gas to the car this morning, so, one more thing crossed off my JDI list. Also, decided to eat the kiwi instead of making jam, so that item got deleted from the list! laugh

JDIs for today:

- finish up some work at the office
- time sheets
- pharmacy
- SWEEP!

sorry I have been away from posting but I think you know I am probably reading everyone. I just wanted to say Hello all and a welcome to the newbie. I am struggling again with my lack of ability to achieve more. I want to stay motivated and seem to need extra direction. I have been reading Marias momthly list and her challenges. I certainly fall short because of health but I am used to that and procrastination also plays a roll. I do like that reading the newsletter at least clarifies things for me.Pain has away of confusing thinking and clear directions help. You are all still working so hard and showing up for support. GON is great for this. Best wishes all for now. Ann 39

So good to see you. Just don't be so hard on yourself. We love to hear from you, you don't have to work to post....we just care and want to hear from you.

I turned in the afghan that I assembled and finished. They were quite pleased, and so was I. Went to a card class where we embroidered cards, and it was fun! Looking forward to more of those. Did all I intended to, might not make it to church, DS2 is coming over to visit. He also let Gypsy out for me, and got my printer working again. I am so blessed.

Did some more in the basement, and swept that part that I completed. ONward and UPward.

Well, I got much of the house presentable for the book club. The living room, dining room, hall, and kitchen were A-OK, clean and organized and attractive, including vases of flowers around. I had a table full of assorted refreshments, from shrimp to various veggies and mini-quiches to fruits and cranberry bread, with tea, coffee, water, and so on. Everyone said it was lovely. This was the biggest group I'd had in the house, probably, in about a decade. It feels great to have the main areas of the house in such good shape. Of course, the other rooms are holding the overflow, such as boxes moved into them because there is no where else to store them (they'd been behind the couch, for example). What I realized was that with just DS and me at home, and nothing much happening, it was easy to neglect various chores beyond a reasonable time - as evidenced by too much dust everywhere, random items around, and so on.

Today DS cleaned out his closet of "younger" items, to make room for some new clothes, including an Easter suit, and I have even more things hanging around and in boxes, waiting to be recycled. After telling charities a couple of weeks ago that I didn't have anything to donate, I'll need to call one if I can find the number and see how soon there will be a pickup so that I can get these items out of the way.

The weather is totally un-cooperative. It is too cold to set up the smoker for planned Easter Sunday dinner. Friends who planned to visit are coping with flooding in their communities although their homes and work sites have not yet been affected [TYG] DS 2, is likely staying at school.

I have no menu, no back-up plan, DH suggests going out for Brunch but the crowds will be overwhelming and our favoured restaurant doesn't take reservations...I've got to stop whining and get in gear! What do you do to celebrate Good Friday and Easter Sunday?
