DH brought up a pork roast for supper tonight; I'm about to toss that into the oven. We'll shred it, make gravy, and probably serve it along side rice or else roasted potatoes, plus veggies. I have some parsnips in the fridge, which will make DS very happy, roasted next to some carrots.

EEEK! My little ones loved the buffet. They ate more than I expected. There aren't any leftovers. DH will take the stuffed peppers and extra corn for lunch today. That will clean out my fridge.

I guess the boys will have peanut butter and jelly sandwicheds. The girls can have scrambled eggs, turkey sausage and toast.

Lately, my kids have been eating very well with our fruit supply. On Friday I bought clementines, apples, bananas, grapes and blueberries. Today we are out of bananas, most of the clementines and the grapes. I have some frozen, dried and canned available, as well. I also have a few grapefruit left too. We also had my family over as well.

It's going to be an interesting week. Tonight is our scheduled busy day. Tomorrow is a parent teacher conferences and a concert for band and choir.

I *must* make myself go grocery shopping this afternoon... the hens need more food, too. It'll be a trip mainly focused on produce, dairy, and the bulk bins, I think, plus TP. I'm fine on dish and laundry soap, shampoo, body soap, and toothpaste, so no expenses there for several weeks.

Fresh fruit! Definitely on the list. We're all on apple kicks right now.

Oh--on buffets. Our kids adore "home buffet" also, so we do "party food" nights pretty regularly in the menu plan. The foods are simple, but I think it's the fun of going down the line and selecting exactly the right mix for their own plate is what gets them.

I've had *another* request for cheeseburger pockets this week. I think we're in a "pocket food" streak right now. LOL Perhaps we'll do a variation this time... maybe some with grilled mushrooms and Swiss, for instance. I've got to snap pictures this time and blog the recipes!!

EC: You've got my brain working over time with the "pockets".

Turkey, provolone, cranberry
BBQ chicken, cheddar, pineapple
ham, cheddar, pineapple
shrimp, roasted garlic, cream cheese

It's so much fun mixing different components.

Yesterday for lunch I did a lovely pasta y limon. I added garlic too. It was super yummy, as I'm on a garlic and lemon kick lately.

I know, right? They're a little addictive to plan! Tonight we're doing cheeseburger pockets, and mushroom-Swiss pockets. I'm doing a doubled batch, so SOME will go in the freezer for later. smile
