I did it! Yesterday while DD was at Wind Ensemble, I went walking. I'm so outta shape that it took me 30 minutes to recover, but then I felt great. I CAN do this!

Yes you can!

Suzy: sage advice about not making the goals too difficult so there's no follow through.

I too fall in the category of going to bed isn't an issue, going to sleep is. The more relaxation techniques I use the more stressed I get...

I made an appointment with my DR for Fri. My body needs a rest right now. I started my detox diet today ~ time for lunch!

Striving: Yes, I'm still trying to figure it all out. The other one was much easier, especially when at the grocery store. I need to browse the books for some low point food ideas.

Suzy: I need to continue to build my DVD collection. Would love to get one just for arms!

Another night done on the treadmill. Tried a different pre-programmed workout tonight and did not like it as well. And I need to get DH to fiddle with the incline, because it's not working.

Day 1 of the diet went well. If it was a regular diet I would've succumbed to the giant Toblerone calling my name though.

My workout buddy is sick, since I'm feeling up for a workout I'll have to go by myself. I might walk to the school after lunch.

Just got back from my walk. I'm going to be able to schedule this 4 days a week (weather permitting). Hurray! Keep it up!

Californiagirl: I'm so proud of you for walking!

Canadagirl: Were you able to go for a walk?

I moved more yesterday than the day before, but I'm not coming close to my goal of 10,000 steps per day. In the spring, summer, fall I can do it when I can get outside.

My job is very sedentary; however, some days I'm just exhausted to continue moving when I get home. Or if I'm being productive, I'm not moving but standing still.

I'm going to continue to battle this and conquer it.

Hurray, Carol & Maureen!!! Great on the exercising & diet, but what is a Toblerone???? Maybe I don't want to know as then it might start calling my name, too!

Jodi, the arms exercise thing I have is really old; it is a videotape!! But it is probably available or very similar one in DVD. It is made by Kathy Smith & is called "Secrets of a Great Upper Body Workout" If you email me, I can give you the name of a web site where you can watch portions of exercise DVD's & get ratings & comments by actual customers about them & a lot of info. about the difficulty, how long it is, what specifically it works on, etc. so you aren't "buying blind."--Suzy

Striving....Yes you can conquer it. You CAN DO IT!!

Suzy...I've never had them, but I think Toblerone is some type of candy.

It's a swiss chocolate bar with small pieces of nougat in it. Quite awesome.

Toblerones are in a signature triangular shape and must me much more popular in Canada than they are here in the US. My DM gave me a 400gm one ~ equivalent to about 8 regular size bars! I didn't go for a walk. I decided to wait until I'm done this diet (today) to increase my activity. There isn't enough calories in what I'm eating... I get really full when I'm eating but it doesn't last...

Saw the DR today and will get my lab results next week.
