Getting a handle on phone assessments is probably one of the biggest learning curves when beginning to organize. Potential clients ring and they each have a different issue and a different reason that drove them to seek help. There are so many variables that it is common to later thing "I wish I'd asked this or asked that."

What are some of the questions you ask when someone phones wanting to get organized? Do you have any tips to share for these calls?


Here's a couple from me to start us off. I ask

I assume you didn't just wake up and suddenly be disorganized today. What was the frustration that led you to call me today?

How is this situation impacting your daily routine?


As for a tip: I've printed out a list of red flags that might indicate the person isn't just dis organized but could be a hoarder. Having this near-by has been helpful on occasion.

What do you like least about the space we are going to organizer?

What do you like the most about this space?
